I didn't want Warburton out. But once he went I wanted Eustace. Might admittedly have been a disaster if he'd have taken the job. Who knows? I was totally even more shattered when we sacked Warnock and replaced him with Hughes. Was flying back to Oz from watching a couple of R's games and couldn't believe it when I arrived back in Melbourne. We have never properly recovered.

I didn't want Critchley out either. Maybe he had lost/didn't rate some of the players but IF he'd have kept us up, I think he would have had better contacts than Ainsworth-and have had us playing better football.

Given we'd got rid of Critchley, I plead guilty. Looks like I was wrong. Ainsworth best of a bad bunch I thought....looks like a disastrous error but who else could we have got at that time, given we'd wrongly booted Critchley.
