Not until watching this back did I realise what big role Hoillet played in play offs. Won the pen in semi and set up the winner at Wembley.

But thought that particular game turned when Zamora came on. Did the nasty, intimidatory stuff well. That after a generally difficult season for him with fans being less than kind to him! And we all know what he did in the next game... Legend.

And we all know what he did in the next game... Legend. Zamora was the master of holding up the ball. He'd plant his legs like tree trunks when it came up to him and no defender could get the better of him. It generally gave him the ability to then lay it off to a team mate. Oh how Lyndon Dykes could take a leaf from that book.

Those shirts when we were in Div1 look about six sizes too big, were they bought at Shepherds Bush market in a job lot for a tenner?
Great finish by Furlong, and he was about 87 at the time.

Big moments include.......
Me clapping at the end of a match. (think it was back in 90s)
77 with his thumbs up at the players.
Croydon cap jack, booing at the end of a match in the 1970s.
The General, Wearing the opposition teams towel, on his head.
Bill and Al's first game.............. in 1882
Acton, winning a bet.

The end of season video interview with Ainsworth released today perfectly sums up how badly run this club is, and how very little attention is paid to details by having filthy windows in the back drop.

Years ago (many!😁) when I was learning in business an old hand told me that if I ever went anywhere that had dying and neglected plants in the reception and dirty windows they were probably in trouble. Rang true many times over the years.

Flavio and Bernie coming in as love or hate them those two saved our club at a time we desperately needed the money to come into the club.
