Apparently had a pretty tough time at wing back in the Dundee derby game, given the run around by a 20 year old who was on loan at Morton last season. I watched the first half. He did ok, but he was pushed very far forward with Dundee playing 3 at the back. United were really up for it in the derby though. Dundee did well to hang in there. But apparently Ziyad is facing a fine for posting on social media after the game. Nothing wrong with the message, but the club does not allow it. His fine is for making a clichรฉd post.

Hindsight is 20/20 but was letting him go a mistake?

Hindsight is 20/20 but was letting him go a mistake? I don't think so mate. I don't genuinely think he's up to left back at this level from what I've seen. The mistake was not getting a deal over the line with Watford for Paal and bringing someone else in. Maybe the lad from Liverpool on loan. After yesterday, I'd suggest we should be doing all we can to expedite Paal's departure and get someone else in. Is Fox gonna be fit for the next game?

Hindsight is 20/20 but was letting him go a mistake? don't think so as he needs game time. we have paal, fox and santos who can all play LB. paal had a bad game yesterday but is getting unfairly slated as being a terrible player when in reality he's a good LB at this level.

Paal just looks like a player that has his mind set on leaving to me mate. Everything yesterday was half arsed at best. Needs shifting on.

I rated Paal early doors as well. Gone backwards at a rate of knots.

Why play Paal then if he's a liability? What does it say about his cover?

It's possible that another poster has already asked this question. Can we get this fellow back given the injury to Kenneth?

It's possible that another poster has already asked this question. Can we get this fellow back given the injury to Kenneth? Nope, ineligible until January. Not sure he's the answer anyway. Suspect JCS will play left back until Paal is fit. He's played there plenty of times before I believe.

Saito as WB is a good option too. Worked well against Coventry.
