I suppose one bigger for preparing some away games but do we need more than one variant? different pitch sizes favour different styles of play. so if we want to try something different or prepare for a different team we would use a different pitch. i remember hearing on the peter crouch podcast that squad and youth players will often be told to play like 'x' player in training so the 1st team can learn what its like to play against them
