There is a bit of field about him. Gets ball there is easy pass forward but dwells then goes sideways or backwards.

Gritty little player but I find him too emotional.
Makes poor choices a lot. Not dependable as always bloody suspended.

Massive improvement in the last two months despite some yellow cards. One of my favourite players of the end of season.

Done a job when needed, but time to wave goodbye if it was up to me.
Way too many yellow cards, off the pace a lot of the time and as I say came in to solidify the midfield and done that when he played. Thanks but goodbye Jack.

This is the kind of decision we as a club need to get more astute with & stop being sentimental. He has been alright for us, had some really good games, but taking a step back & looking forward surely we can do better. As you say Jimmy, he is a walking card & his legs def seem to be on the way out. Many thanks for this season, but ta da.

He's under contract until '25, so I doubt we can get rid of him before. Who's buying?
Btw. I thought he was outstanding against Millwall at home, which sort of started our climb out of the drop zone.

No problem with Colback, gives us a bit of a hard edge when needed.

What's up with this guy? His disciplinary record wasn't that bad before he joined us, but now he's a red card waiting to happen. Perhaps he can't come to terms with the fact his legs have gone?

Was decent today but apparently two stupid yellows. Did similar beginning of last season but calmed down towards the end of season.

It would have been interesting to hear him explain why it happens so often.

And it doesn’t seem to register that he’s on a yellow It never does with him. He's like an accident waiting to happen.

Marti Cifuentes explained that Jack Colback’s sending off in the 2-2 draw against Sheffield United was the result of two yellow cards for dissent. The experienced midfielder was booked twice in the space of four minutes after taking issue with a decision made by referee Anthony Backhouse. Colback, who came on as a half-time substitute, received the second yellow for remonstrating with the fourth official while Rangers were still 2-1 down. “I spoke with him and spoke with the officials,” said Cifuentes. “It seems that, according to Jack, one of the Sheffield United players who already had a yellow card was asking for a yellow card – showing his hand – and that, according to the rules, is a yellow card. “So instead of a red card for Sheffield United, it goes the other way. “It’s true for the second one he was still asking. I asked him what was going on and why he was getting mad, and I took responsibility because he came very close to the fourth official, and he thought it was a second yellow, which for me was very harsh. “Refereeing for me is very difficult and perhaps this situation had a big effect on the game. “We need to understand that the players are human beings, and they can make some mistakes. “I don’t think that he came in a bad way or a disrespectful well, but definitely, I will have a talk with him on Tuesday when we are back.”

I think he was trying to say he called Colback over to ask him what’s wrong and colback got too close to the 4th official to answer him and was thus sent off,

Easy solution to Colback do not play him. I guess suspended next game so we can’t play him anyway but the midfield looking quite thin. Varane promising but not ready. Andersen and Chair injured. Hayden wouldn’t have let players slip past him (Varane) or get sent off (Coleback), but guess we can’t afford him

Should the powers that be appeal the red card? It`s worth a try imo.

Should the powers that be appeal this red card? It`s worth a try imo. Agreed. Also, the stuff that goes unpunished by the refs week after week. Rather inconsistent.
