I need some help here guys.I have an Aussie nephew(QPR supporter) called Chris who is in the banking sector Down Under and in a recent bash at the Sydney Hedge Fund Club he bumps into Mr.Steiner.He's asking if Rob was "any good".Anyone remember him in detail so I can pass on the info?

A very good attacker who was at QPR in a difficult period for the club. Personally, I didn't see him play, but allegedly he was a player who fought for every ball. A pity that he did his knee though.

Yeah I liked rob. Bad injuries done him but was always a handful. Ipswich away in particular springs to mind.

Unusually dark-haired too for a Swede.

Fairly decent player, limited ability, but had something about him. However the one game that sticks in my mind, because I was there at the Chicken Cottage to witness the debacle, was when he got sent off for 2 yellows in the first half, the first for arguing with that utter cant Rob styles, the second for a blatant dive. The Fools went on to win 1-0. Wasn't too pleased with him that day. Sept 21st 1999 that was, almost exactly 24 years ago.

Remember seeing him outside the club shop after a game and trying to speak to him & he ran into the club shop to avoid 8 year old me LOL
Tbf in hindsight I should probably have had some clothes on.

Have a memory of being on my old man's shoulders leaving 1 Fulham away game when I was young and it going off all around us.

It had been building up all week, people talking about how they were going to take the cottage, lot of bravado in the Hammersmith pubs beforehand. I managed to avoid it by heading off to river to have a smoke and contemplate the meaning of life...

I was in the paddock as I couldn't get a seat in the away end there was about 10 of us , even though Fulham fans will say we were 50 handed A lot of the chaps got arrested after from both sides as there were unpleasantries outside. I took off straight after the game , that's not for me anymore.
