As usual, a minor problem, turns into a fucking pathetic situation. Typical Mickey Mouse QPR.
My son’s season-ticket wouldn’t scan on the gate tonight, so he asked a staff member for help.
She said you need to go to the ticket office and get a paper ticket.
So I rang him and said tell her it’s a season ticket not a match ticket, just get a supervisor to check it surely? He’s a 16 year old kid ffs
They insisted he went to the ticket office to get a paper ticket (fucking pathetic) so I had to come down from the SAR stand, & go to the ticket office for him.
He had to come all the way round from Ellerslie Road and the ticket office said oh our Wi-Fi went down.
I said I don’t mean to be funny but can’t someone relay that to the staff? My son shouldn’t have to come halfway round the ground when the game is already started because your ticket system does not work. There was people in there who’d literally bought paper tickets from the ticket office that didn’t work
She had a right attitude. She said it’s okay now it’s sorted.
He went back round to Ellerslie Road and it still didn’t fucking work.
In the end the man just let him in the gate, he said there was about 50 people outside of the same issue.
Fucking Mickey Mouse club can’t do anything right.

Saw my son outside BO his ST didn't work either , that's why I always get a plastic card . This season I have to keep shaking the card at the machine to get it to work.

Fucking pathetic. I get things have issues now and again but where is the common sense? It’s a QR code season ticket that the club supplies.
If it don’t work get a supervisor to check it and let the person in. Having to come around from Ellerslie at kick off to queue up and then go back is unacceptable.
As I said previously this poxy club can’t do anything simple right.

my ST has played up for the past 2 games too but my nephew's one (which i pay for under my account) has worked fine. weird, it was happening to a fair few people on saturday too.

Worse still when she said it’s all sorted now it wasn’t. My son walked all the way back over for it still to not be working. Lucky the steward let him in. I think if he hadn’t I’d have done something stupid as I was royally pissed off as it was.

A bit of a leap of faith but it does make sense and everyone is doing it now. The problem, as you say is when the internet down you lose so much (phones system is internet based, computer system, e mail etc.

A bit of a leap of faith but it does make sense and everyone is doing it now. The problem, as you say is when the internet down you lose so much (phones system is internet based, computer system, e mail etc. everything, utilities, banking, food supplies, health care u name it, one day the sun going to send a storm to earth and we will be back in the 1800s.

jfrabbit , I thought I should follow this up with the club as it was a bad situation. I had a chat with David Roohan over the phone this morning. He's the club's ticketing manager. He offered to call me with an explanation: Apparently what happened is there was an internet outage in the entire area about 10 minutes to kick off, so the whole system was down. He apologised for the situation with your son and said that the steward should have directed him to the local kiosk by the turnstiles instead of directing him all the way to the Box Office. These kiosks are on all four sides of the stadium. The steward should have known that but David will re-iterate it to them all at the meeting before the next home game to make sure this never happens again. I pointed out that occasional Wi-Fi outages are a modern day problem and contingency plans should be in place, to which he fully agreed. He has read through this thread and would be happy to speak with you personally about it too, so feel free to PM me your contact details and I can put you in touch with him directly. Anyway, did my best and hope this reassures somewhat.
