Yeah that first Olly period was good but we had 35,000 crammed in when we were really good.... proper bear pit. Plus we played football. That was like 74, 75 and the Sexton era. People who were bought up on that naturally find the idea of your Ollies and GAs managing the club a bit.... shit, frankly. Because it showed what you could do with a club like ours. You just need to make the right decisions at the top of the club. We simply haven't done that for years. Trouble is it’s a different game now from when we were really good. We used to beat Arse, they weren’t on another planet like these days. If we’d had a stadium like White hart Lane we wouldn’t have got 60k coming through the gates. We were a little club who made it big but couldn’t keep up with the way the game kept going. Let’s hope we have our day again sometime but we are never going to be a big club, always up there. So many in the woodwork though as we took about 45,000 to Wembley in 2014, and plenty more wanted to go who couldn't get tickets.

Jim Gregory turned water into wine. Thompson, in hindsight, was also an excellent Chairman who understood the financial responsibility required to run a club of our size. It was only when he caved in to fan's requests and gave Wilkins £5.4m to spend did he get it wrong.

There were but I think it's also important to acknowledge that Wembley is always about extended families and a lot of Chelsea (primarily) and other London team supporting family/friends boosted the numbers that day and in '86.

But did also sell Paul Goddard way too early. Still a very good club owner no doubt about it. He did build a stand as a result, but, yes. If you want to name stands they should be called Parkes, Allen and Goddard - they paid for them😁

To be fair I never wanted him in the first place but had held off voting 'Go' until now. Tactically he is totally out of his depth at this level and there's no doubt he'd take us down, as I suspected all along.

International break. Perfect time to get rid and get someone in but this is QPR & I fully expect him to be in charge next game 🙄

Gutted for him. Should have stayed at Wycombe but clearly backed himself. Best the club part ways now, before it gets really toxic.

Ainsworth is clearly a good person
With a Qpr heart of blue a white
However nostalgia should never come into it
And that was the boards mistake
I said he will be gone in six months
It must be around that now possibly
Here we go again merry go round

Chair and Willock will also be gone in Jan
They will be chomping to get out to anyone
As will Field probably
We are in a terrible position as a club atm
Need to start completly from grass rooted again

Absolute joke of a manager. Scored 8 times in 11 games and he comes out saying we don’t need a forward. Plays a rookie(at this level) left back at right back. Doesn’t pack the midfield to at least be robust in fields absence and finally goes 2 up top at home with absolutely no supply behind them. People with zero footballing qualifications can see it clear as day so why can’t these thick cunts? It was obvious larkech was struggling so why let him continue. Everything’s so slow, everything’s so late. Let’s also not forget we were playing a team with 6 defeats in 8, key players missing and the worst defence in the division and they absolutely mowed us down. Opened up time after time after time. It’s fucking disgraceful

I wish they´d all fuck off and die right now. International break comes at a good time, imo.

Can we just cancel the club
We can all go and support a good team then
Imagine what that is like

"Go woke, go broke" though, as they say; and we're definitely right on course for that.

Needs to go tonight either by choice or by the board. No defence can be given to him anymore. That today was it for me not returning until he is removed and going to give the board a miss as this club is bringing my mood down.

This hurts but it will honestly help in the long run.
He should never have been given the job and the board will have to sack him now.
It will get better.

And arsholes still clapped him at the end. Meet thiis thick cunt out of my club….. now! Could not make it up. The most clueless and hopeless manager I have seen down there in over 45 years. I will not waste another minute in that ground while he is in charge. I paid for my ST's but cannot watch this guy anymore.
