I just can't be arsed and I've never done that despite some of the shite served up down the years. Will go out for a booze and chill. The football is sooooo fucking boring knowing you're never or rarely going to score. |

The club are well aware of this and the challenges faced in attracting the next generation of fans. Of course that's never going to be helped when you're not playing winning / attractive football. |

Yes, definitely an aging fan base - and quite high as you say - and something which the club are alarmed by which explains why they seem to be 'dumbing down' a significant amount of content and going over the top to sanitise the 'match day experience'. They believe that's the right way to attract kids. A lot of people do fall by the wayside over the years or make it an irregular social occasion but the reasons for doing so vary. My own wavering interest began when I started dating and suddenly having a bunk up became more attractive than watching football and then, as I got older, developing other interests which were competing for my free time became more appealing and football fell further down the list of priorities. |
