The good run he refers too was 1 win, 2 draws and a defeat ☹️ Embarrassing really. The guy is likeable but he comes out with some rubbish. Plus, I am worried about how 'flexible' he is. Watford and pre season, played one way. Realised that didn't work, changed it. Did something else against another team, didn't work. Tried something new vs Coventry, didn't work. Training has now changed. If he needed more intensity, why not do that from the off? Thats a basic one. If you keep changing style (I use the term loosely) then they won't master anything and be a bit shit at it all. |

I think its the lack of self-awareness that probably doesn't help his credibility with the players. I am sure he has a self-image of being this super-cool former blood and guts player turned rock star, prob sees himself as a Jagger or Robert Plant in their time, swaggering about with open neck shirt and long hair. He probably still uses Brute. Most people get to a certain age and realise a look just doesn't suit them anymore. And beyond a certain age it just looks completely cringe. I feel sorry for the bloke as he is clearly a nice guy with decent intentions but you would think his wife or best friend would take him aside and say "you might think you stand out as a manager but sadly its all in the wrong ways and you need to present yourself differently now." Makes you wonder how quick he is o to learn about football if he can't grasp even this. |

What you wear should actually be an irrelevance but when you can’t get results it’s just something else to be picked up on. |
