if marti doesn't work out just bare in mind you'll be banned from this forum i'm sure there's a few hashtags we could come up with if we go on a bad run of form I know. I can feel the pressure already, no doubt about that Imagine if he is a hero though Shania You will be the messiah 👍

Listen to that. Not happy with conceding from a set piece, lots of praise, promised us 3 points next week.
What a refreshing change from the doom and gloom of boots.

Big improvement. Both the point and good spells in possession wirh decent movement. Dykes should have been off at halftime or at 60, when Smyth went. Hopefully Marti have learnt from today.

What’s not to like about Marti. I trust him to make us better. No doubt we will improve under him.

Love that from him. Ainsworth would've been celebrating like he'd led us to FA Cup glory.

Love that from him. Ainsworth would've been celebrating like he'd led us to FA Cup glory. 100%. He’s had, what 2 days training? And he refuses to criticise previous manager and is disappointed at 1 point away from home. So far, I’m really impressed.

Many times we’ve moaned about players not being given a chance and we’ve watched players not taking their chance when given. Today Dixon-Bonner was given a chance and he took it. Will be very disappointing if he gets left out next week.

Plenty of crosses went into that box and donkey was nowhere to be seen. The service was there, he was not. Yes, from both Smyth and Albert. So no shortage of service. Chair MOM actually went outside and crossed with left a couple of times for a change. Never seen that before so had to be down to the new manager. Rotherham showed him outside so he called their bluff and did so. Haha well done mate 😄 Notice Marti singled out Ilias, Cook and Elijah for praise today. Agree with that. Richards did well too I thought. It's shocking these players coming to the fore the moment we change the manager and system. Obvs v early days but bodes really well for rest of the season and genuinely excited about prospects now. My only concern is he susses out Dykes' weaknesses asap or, heaven forbid, even works a miracle and turns him into an actual footballer!

Looking over the highlights Field would have been disappointed not to have taken any of his 3 chances to score yesterday, for me that’s why he will never be looked at by Premiership clubs.

In fairness to Colback it's a clean slate for him too.

Stan whilst Donkey is proper turd not sure he can be dug out for not getting on the end of Albert’s crosses when Albert replaced him same time as Armstrong came on 😋

I was pretty happy with yesterday and there were many positives. Whilst there were more crosses in not many of them were quality balls in or cut backs more drilled across see what happens, but having said that it’s progress in what went before when there were no crosses.
Having watched yesterday and how much of the ball we had and how it made us look more dangerous does beg the question what were the tactics or game plan last three months. Baffling

Only negative for me was Dykes for me again. Just doesn't do enough of anything to warrant starting every week. He doesn't even bust his balls running to TRY and create, shut down or force errors.
Really happy with what I saw yesterday but I just can't have this geezer in any way or form.

- Leave nothing on the pitch
- Hit and hope hoofball from keeper and defence
- Possession is irrelevant

?!?! Piss poor. He was such a nice fella it was hard to slate him but in reality and seeing what Marti got out of them in 3 days is embarrassing for him and Dobson tbh.

He never done anything wrong but he kind of played same level as he did previously. I do fear we have contracted ourselves to a league 2 player and if we genuinely want to progress the likes of him and Dykes probably not good enough. Maybe could get away as a squad player but not a starter.

The credit I'll give him is that he does always put it in, Dykes on the other hand, nonchalant. Brightest points for me were: Effort Intent Determination to get up field and try and create Taylor Richards, EDB both looked very good. Good starting line up. Lots of positives to work on. Buzzing for Bristol City just a shame Chair out for that one but gives someone else the chance to impress.

Maybe we shouldn't get carried away after just one performance against a poor team?

Maybe we shouldn't get carried away after just one performance against a poor team? True, but we've all been starved of anything remotely resembling hope lately. So let's get carried away, I say. We bloody well deserve some positive thinking.

How did we do defensively? I thought Rotherham were really poor but they still had some chances.
Cannon looks reasonably solid along with Paal,
Dunne still looks way off his best. Cook is dependable but very limited in possession.
Cook and Dunne should not be trying to play out from goal kicks , that going to end badly.

Just shows the players aren't really "gutless wankers" and simply needed some proper coaching. "Transformational" in Gareth's words and don't forget this was after just THREE days of Marti arriving.

Think I saw a stat 2 out of 23 crosses achieved, that’s something to be looked at.

Think I saw a stat 2 out of 23 crosses achieved, that’s something to be looked at. Dykes doesn’t make runs and doesn’t pull away. Do neither and you’re never going to lose marker or get in a dangerous position. He ‘marks’ his marker. He’s what 28?
