Maybe we shouldn't get carried away after just one performance against a poor team? This, it's a fair comment. Was there improvement - yes. Could we actually see a style of play - yes. Was there reasonable signs for optimism going forward - absolutely, definitely yes. But we are gonna face much better teams than Rotherham for the remainder of the season.

Love that from him. Ainsworth would've been celebrating like he'd led us to FA Cup glory. If I’d been doing the interview I wouldn’t have been able to resist asking if they’d emptied the tank?😂

True, however we're also going to improve under more guidance and coaching from MC. Extremely early days.

Dont think the division is half as good as people make out.
Three or four standout sides but aside from that rest of the division is much a muchness. Two or three wins on bounce catapults any side to mid table same as few defeats drops you down.
Everyone was raving about Coventry when they beat us but they are two places above us.

I know it looked a better performance from us. It was Rotherham. Sheffield Wednesday beat them 2-0 recently. Their commentators were saying if only we'd played us and them both a month ago.
I'm more interested in seeing how we get on against Bristol at home. That will be more indicative of progress.

Their goalscorer George Kelly impressed me yesterday. Aggressive, direct and made well timed runs into the box. LD take note.

Only Rotherham, true, but huge step forward in a couple of days.

According to the BBC yesterday Bristol City played Dickie on the left of 2 CBs, in the past it’s been clear he can be easily bullied or outpaced by strikers and wingers playing on his weakness.

He's barely even got his feet under the desk. Or any of his own coaching team with him

I watched the whole game on a live stream. Rotherham weren't nearly as bad as some people are making out. Fred Onyedinma is a decent striker and they looked organised. Their biggest problem was how ponderous they are going forward. They took way too long to launch attacks.
As Stan has said, Marti had 3 days with our lot, a squad who have been mentally scarred by having to play under the worst coach in living memory. I think a draw was an excellent result in the circumstances. I have full confidence that Marti will keep us up.

Was just about to post that. Positive mentality none of the were in relation scarab will lose games etc
Positivity will rub off on the players.
Maybe just maybe we have chosen wisely on this occasion.

Maybe we shouldn't get carried away after just one performance against a poor team? True, but we've all been starved of anything remotely resembling hope lately. So let's get carried away, I say. We bloody well deserve some positive thinking. Spot on, dk. It’s been so long since our club played anything resembling football. Let’s enjoy this.

Our support was excellent yesterday , about 1200 up there ,in full voice pretty mutch all game , and the train back from Doncaster was a fucking good laugh too .... Loved the fact we played out from the back , think Chair and Willock will thrive under Cifuentes .... the no 19 with the double barrel name had a great game and should have scored , as should Field and others Rotherham fans before the game in the Cutlers Arms were good value and like us ,seemed to be a good ,working class club ,with realistic expections and nothing like the arrogant supporters of big clubs ... Great away game and i genuinely think there are brighter days for us with Cifuentes .....
