Iroegbunam was a big factor in that too (and Johansen to a lesser extent) and we no longer have that type of player in midfield. So that'll also be a challenge for him, not to mention the totally shit options up front (agree Kelman needs a run, saying that). Just hope he'll get some kind of backing in the Jan window. good point well made. Who do you think is the closest we have to playing that Tim role? Taylor Richards if he can get his mind and body together - Marti has his work cut out there! Dozzell has played that role at times this season with reasonable effect Dixon-Bonner or Duke-McKenna possibly but we've still not seen enough of those two to form a viable opinion. Pedder is the other guy coming through. Sparks could probably tell us more about him. |

Peddar has not got the physique to be played in CM Stan, he’s 21 now and imo highly unlikely to play regularly for the first team. He’s currently on loan at Oxford City and being played as a winger iirc.
DK has very good knowledge and sound judgement of our youngsters imo.

What a shame that villa never loaned us Tim back. Same way we’ve mugged off Armstrong villa appear to have done the same with him. 32 games last season with us zero minutes this season at villa.
If we have any money jan would love see us try get him on perm or loan.

None of our youngsters, that I've seen, has that swagger like Tim Iroegbunam. Rare talent that you don't see often. A long legged creature with gliding movement ghosting past players like statues. Reminiscent of Yaya Touré or our very own Samba Diakité. Don't think we have one atm. Aoraha is the best bet to make it as a CM, but he has a totally different style, and is more a classic 6, but still decent going forwards and with an eye for goal. |
