What I also liked from that interview is how Marti says he believes in using visualisation as a tool in the preparation for games. His whole approach is so far advanced from the previous incumbent's, it's staggering.

Met a nephew recently who supports spuds who sarcasticly calls us the Blue and White Brazil...
I actually quite like it and surprisingly have not enjoyed the international break like previously under GA...
I've missed the Rs this weekend... Long time I said that
We'll still likely go down but at least we look like we have a manager with a game plan

Interesting how it took his first three games (2 draws, 1 loss) to suss us out, reverse the form and restore confidence to the players.
Then his next three games (3 wins) to really take us forward, build momentum and a winning mentality
Obvs still early days but what a difference just getting a decent manager in makes. Some have blamed the players for the decline, but to me it looks like they just needed the right man-management and coaching.

We are right back in it now and keep this intensity up we won’t be in the same postcode as the bottom 3 come May. The difference is genuinely mind blowing |

Won three in a row, lost one in six, still bottom three. That's how bad we were. Same squad..... Admit it. You're coming round.... There's still a very long way to go, the squad is still paper thin imo, but that's what makes the turn around pretty exciting. Had a text after game from an old WHU pal, reckoned that hanging onto him is gonna be the problem.Whether things are going well or not, there's always a problem for us 🤣 |
