The Dunne decision was brilliant. For all the differing opinions on here NO ONE suggested that.

The Dunne decision was brilliant. For all the differing opinions on here NO ONE suggested that. Perhaps because afaik he's never played in that position in his career. In which case further kudos to MC for coaching and adapting him there.

...furthermore, Dunne's now keeping RBs by trade, Cannon and Kakay, out of the side.

That’s because defending is more important in our position. I like him for decisions like that.

Another factor: he's been lucky. Don't mean that as criticism because all successful managers seem to have luck, Fergie notoriously. I despaired of GA even before his appointment but in fairness to him if you compare the defence he had to put out (v Watford?) opening day compared to our current line up, we didn't have a chance. But of course you make your own luck to an extent. Is it entirely co-incidental that Clarke-Salter and Steve Cook are suddenly fit? It might be an improved fitness regime but also suspect the players WANT to play for Marti whereas all but a handful looked like they couldn't be arsed under Boots.

Ainsworth and the club starting with the forwards we had could possibly ruin us for years to come if we don't survive, although I'm confident we will. If we go down, it'll be because of two people. Ainsworth and Dykes.

This is the best decision the football club has made since the takeover in 2011. Tuing Marti and Armstrong down are key moves for this summer as both will do even better next season.

What a fantastic manager and man.
Already gonna be lots of eyes on him from clubs after seeing what he's done with a side that was absolutely on it's arse.
Maybe I'm naïve but, I genuinely think he'll stay for another season so we can give the league a right good go.
Imagine Marti for a whole pre season, his own signings and a few million to spend if Eze goes.
I'd really fancy us to push for the play offs.

He’s the manager Beale conned a lot of fans into thinking he was. If we stay up it’s actually worked out well for us and we’re in reasonable place to start building from.

Marti already gonna go down in folklore for the way he's turned a dead on it's feet team around and for (hopefully) keeping us up

Shows that there are managers out there and good ones that want to join a club like ours. So let’s please never go down the “used to play for us” and “intensity” nonsense idea for a manager.

every year i put 20 quid on us making it to the playoffs, my thought process is that my playoff tickets would be covered by the winnings. every year i lose 20 quid but if we manage to keep ahold of marti, make some smart signings in the summer and keep the spine of the team together i think my bet might finally pay off.

Definitely be clubs sniffing around him now. Not sure anyone other than championship clubs would take a punt just yet so hopefully the easing off a bit of our financial constraints next season with the possibility of a few million should Eze move clubs could make him decide to stay if there is interest from elsewhere.

To be fair he was being mentioned when Beale got the job. I think he was the guy who the owners thought Beale was going to be. Now tie this guy down with a bonus a big release clause as could see West Ham come sniffing around him
