I can only judge based on who I saw live, so between Seaman and Paddy Kenny. For some reason I always liked Jurgen Sommer!

Paddy Kenny is the obvious choice for me. Jan Stejskal was another great keeper. And in the really shit times Chris Day was great. Most underrated keeper for me was Radek Cerny.

Gawd all mighty James, Sommer was terrible! And out of our other keepers at the time, Tony Roberts, was just as bad and for some reason Wilkins never played Dijkstra. No wonder we were relegated. Then Lee Harper came in, and even he was an upgrade.
As this thread is titled 'best ever' and not 'favourite' I would say that accolade goes to Phil Parkes, who was an integral part of probably the best ever QPR team.

Parkes would have been England regular had he not been around during the Shilton/Clemence jobshare but I reckon Seaman turned out to be the better keeper - maybe not AT Rangers.

And Parkes was signed aged 20 from Walsall in 1970 by Les Allen for a nominal amount. Remained with the club for NINE years (yes, that sort of thing was commonplace in those days). Then sold to West Ham for £565,000 - a then world-record fee for a goalkeeper.

Maybe because it was compared to Roberts and Dijksyra…..made Sommer look better than he was

We were after both Somer and Keller but Ray wouldn't spend the extra £200k on the latter...

Anyone remember Ademola Bankole? Legendary. Almost knocked out Danny Maddox in addition to being arguably the worst keeper we've ever had at QPR and this was all within around 30 minutes! Strangely went on to become a respected GK Coach.
