Alex Baptiste, Jake Bidwell, Jordan Cousins, Joel Lynch and Pawel Wszolek will all depart QPR when their contracts expire in June. Meanwhile, defender Angel Rangel and young goalkeeper Seny Dieng have been offered new deals to remain in W12. Alex Baptiste, 33, joined the R’s from Preston two years ago and made 35 appearances in all competitions. Jake Bidwell, 26, made 130 appearances and scored four goals during his three-year stay with QPR after joining from Brentford. Like Bidwell, Jordan Cousins also came to QPR in the summer of 2016 and the 25-year-old went on to make 70 appearances, scoring one goal after signing from Charlton Athletic. Joel Lynch also joined three years ago, arriving from Huddersfield Town, and the 31-year-old made 95 appearances, scoring seven goals. Pawel Wszolek came to QPR on loan from Hellas Verona in the summer of 2016, before completing a permanent switch in January 2017. The 27-year-old made 113 appearances in that time, scoring 11 goals. Loan players Nahki Wells, Tomer Hemed and Geoff Cameron have returned to parent clubs Burnley, Brighton & Hove Albion and Stoke City respectively. We thank all the players for their efforts during their time with us and wish them every success in the future. www.qpr.co.uk/news/club-news/baptiste-bidwell-cousins-lynch-and-wszolek-depart/

Offering a new contract to Dieng could mean they are looking to sell Ingram. Rangel also offered new contract could mean Kakay is on his way.

Not entirely surprised by those we have released. Feel a little for Bidwell but then again didn’t Warburton sell him to us?

It's worrying how we don't get fees back on any of them. Baptiste was free but probably looking at a combined 8 mil or so for the rest.

If 18k a week is to be believed that is too much for Bidders

Waste of money offering Rangel a contract. He is seldom fit and has played around 40 matches in 3 years. As for the rest, happy to see Baptiste and Cousins leave, indifferent about Bidwell and sad about Lynch and Pav. All out of Contract Brian. I think there was an option to extend on Pav but clearly at a too high a price.

Yeah, I suppose we could have looked to offload some of them last summer in cut price deals but then might have got relegated without some of them.

Interestingly, none of those leaving played in that last match against SW.

Bidwell was 1.44 Lynch was 1.3
Cousins was 1.35 Pav was 1.8
I though we had paid around 3 for Pawel

Not bothered about any of them apart from Pawel. Must be wages. Glad Angel has been offered a new deal, but only if its pay as you play.

If 18k a week is to be believed that is too much for Bidders 16k is what I heard mate. To be fair none of those surprise me, could have called all of them a month or 2 ago. Moving on as a club, and finding better value!

Olds we will disagree on this one 😁 in my view one of the worst defenders I’ve seen in Bush or anywhere for the record

Would have liked keep Pav but if we can’t afford him we can’t afford him I don’t know why some struggle registering reality

Agree with Ginge. Always likely Pav was going as he could get decent wages elsewhere. The others have consistently performed well below the level we were entitled to expect, except Baptiste, but he was bought here for a specific reason as opposed to being part of a longer term plan.

In a way we don`t deserve him. We have nearly managed to ruin his career..Poor Pawel.

Think woz could be added to list of under performing players
I don’t think he ever reached his potential, far better player then we saw

very sad to see pavel going as he was one of my favourite players over the past 10 years or so. i can understand the decision to let him go though as he was probably on decent wages which we can't afford any longer and tbh he's not really worth 15k or so a week to our team.
don't give a shit about the others leaving though but wish them the best. losing bidwell isn't anything to cry over. at least we've freed up some wages for new signings

Bidwell had 1 year left on his contract at Brentford and had refused to sign another. So they couldn't have played that hardball as they could have landed up with nothing.

For 5 years in a row we have been happy to have released 5-6 players. That's very worrying.

Thought Cousins might have been kept on. Youngish and not too expensive to keep.
