Given thread on best managers thought it would be interesting to see how many managers some of us have endured. I’ve seen a few in my time.
Going score them as G Good A Average S Shit PG Potentially Good
Howe A Smith A Francis G first time round S second Wilkins S Houston S Waddock S Gregory A Holloway G first time round S second Dowie PG Magilton PG Di Canio G Hart S Sousa PG Warnock G Hughes S Redknapp A Ramsey S Hasslebank S McLaren A Warburton G Beale PG Critchley PG Ainsworth S
That’s off the top of my head don’t think I’ve missed anyone (only done proper managers not caretakers)
So 24 managers if i include Marti
Sine proper dross choices above.

Remember doing few games when Mates parents had spare tickets under Howe and Smith but memory is hazy. Francis was when I can remember it all from

Can’t think of his name right now but he also managed Wolves, Millwall and Pompey, caretaker managed us and played in the number 6 shirt as defender around 80 or 90s
edit Kenny Jackett.

i only supported us from holloways first stint, right after we got promoted. but i agree with the list.
NC's tenure was terrible but i think he was just the right manager at the wrong time. if he'd been appointed instead of the eel i suspect he'd still be here now and we'd be in a much better place than we are tbh, maybe at a blackburn sort of level. he just didn't have the character to pick players up and it was probably silly to appoint him when we did tbh.
obviously its still to early to judge MC and we could all be hating his guts as a spanish PE teacher in a few weeks time but he comes across as a strong likeable character and with a tactical nous about him. the club already feels like its turned a corner under him and the players performance reflects that. yesterday was a pretty average game but its the best we've played in a long long time.
