Even technically Jimmy's is the best: receives the huge intitial punt from Begovic with a guided header outside the box to Armstrong who can't control it in tussle with defender, but Jimmy has anticipated the rebound which he chests and then volleys into the net. Utterly superb goal. Interesting you say that. As a footballer I was at best "agricultural" (more Waddock than Currie, but a million levels below). So I might be talking bollox here but when you say technically the Jimmy goal was the best I would tentatively question that. And I voted for it as the goal of the season still. I always found it much harder (OK, virtually impossible) to wrap a foot round a ball and get curve on it to bring it inside a post than it was to "just" kick underneath a ball and get it to dip. Admittedly my experience of achieving either was very limited.

In terms of control, method, execution and result Dykes goal is the best its obvious.
I understand why voting for Dykes is unpopular but credit where credit is due.
