Yes last night was poor.
However we have come a long way in a very short time.
We are back in the pack with a much better chance of retaining our championship status.
Expectations rise due to recent results under Marti,so a poor performance brings dissappointment critisism frustration and many more negative feelings.
I am as guilty of this as we all desparately want our club to be reborn again and prosper.
Sentence...GUILTY as charged.
Onwards and upwards.
Hopefully. Come on you R's.

yep. in the grand scheme of things if you told me marti would have the form he has after 7 games in charge i'd have laughed at you. guy has really turned it around.
last night was a weird game, could have been 4-0 down in the first 10 minutes but could have come back to win it 5-4. we're creating a lot more chances, i'd wager that we had more shots on goal last night than gareth's previous ten and at least 2 of the chances we had last night were harder to miss than score.
main thing for me has been that i always want the team to do their best and to be entertained and i think i was last night. on a different day we could have won it but hey ho these things happen.

Very true. We’re all just not used to expectation……well positive one anyway.

We haven't got the players needed to be challenging for promotion but we're far better than what the tramp had us at.
MC won't be here in 18 months to 2 years time but it's going to be a pleasure having him and we are on the right path.

Good thread. Yes we are all so success starved that we are a little guilty of going from abject despair to expecting to win every time out because we want it so much. We are third bottom for a lot of reasons, not just Gareth Ainsworth (terrible tho' he was). I see most people still predicting a win against Wednesday. I mean, we might, but just seems expectations are running away with us a bit. Despite all the massive improvement, first half hour against Plymouth, I mean no words - Marcus Bean in his heyday passed better than Sam Field was managing...

We’re in bottom three for, as you rightly say, lots of reasons. Main one is we don’t score goals. I’ve read all the debate about whether or not we can bring in a striker - fact is, they MUST find a way in Jan. Marti is great so far, and looks the real deal for us, but if one goal beats us we will struggle.

All the above said, I paid £380 to see Roger Waters at the London Palladium and he spent the first 20 minutes sat at a desk reading extracts from his yet to be published autobiography and we got a chapter about him adopting a duck 😬
Maybe I'm the one who needs to reassess 🤣

I hate another Brick in the Wall….dirge Which part of the three? Personally I love them all. And Part Two contains one of the greatest solos of all time (cued up below - any excuse for a reminder ) My tastes are very eclectic and I must concede that Woman in Love is a great song 🤐 TBH I love that even more than 'Guilty' Hmmmmm, wouldn't agree with dirge but needs to be put into the context of the entire album to work for me 👍 Agree, and on equal par with Wish You Were Here, Dark Side Of The Moon, and Animals, for me. For Alan:

Pink Floyd can take or leave...overated.
I ve been to many rock, blues festivals and concerts in my time seeing some of the best bands artists etc.
In fact my first festival was at Shepton Mallett 1969 just up the road from Glastonbury, look it up West country Rock and Blues Festival,i was 16 went with my mate the line up was astonishing.
We went by train to Castle Cary station from London changing at Swindon.
As it turned it rained boy did it rain, mud everywhere and i mean everywhere.
We were there Saturday and Sunday camping wherever we could find shelter.
I learnt a lot that night!!!!!
The music was sublime and the whole occassion amazing.
On our return we missed last train back to London and spent the night on Swindon railway station platform.
We were informed the next train was the milk train at about 2 am and we could get on that to Paddington.Arrived Paddington at about 4am no tube no buses so started walking.
We got as far as Chiswick High Road before bus came along back to Hounslow. My mate got off Isleworth fire station and me at Hounslow Bus station for a bus to Heston.
Next thing i knew i woke up on the front lawn of our council house at about 8.00am.
My mum thought i was staying Isleworth and my mates parents thought he was staying in Heston.

Nah, not having that about Floyd 😬
One of the few genuine above and beyond categorisation acts and one of the few examples of rock music being on par with the Arts.
Thank you 👍
