...........and of course i'm not blind enough to realise we have zero striker force too. but with willock and chair both on the pitch, well i'm sorry, but at 0-1 down that still give us a goal chance against any team in this division. Not questioning you as a fan, Stan (to misquote Eminem). But as someone (poss Acton) and myself said at half time they would stroke it round and we wouldn't get a foothold in the game. We have now scored one goal in three games (and that was an own goal). They have several premier league players, are in unbelievable form and we have a striker who would struggle in a pub side and Dozzell who is basically a mannequin. I'm not a grinch, I thought we might just hang on against Sheffield Wed, but even tho we played better today I just never believed it would be enough, sorry. You don't need to apologise Stains. It's clear that was your belief.

Odd feeling after that game as I think we played better than the result shows and then I expected pre match.
Think we were worthy of a draw but this side has three or four errors a game in them and today they scored from one of them. Until we stop offering up such easy goals and actually contributing towards them it’s going be hard work as we’re not good enough to give sides a head start.
Was not massively impressed by Southampton and thought for bulk of game we matched them and pushed them backwards without actually giving them major worries regards shots on goals.
Millwall huge game must not lose

Millwall huge game must not lose First half, if Dykes actually makes a run in front of the defender, he gets on the end of 2 crosses at least. 2nd half looked good for 20 and then it was comfortable. Whilst I dint think Southampton offered much, I do think that they had more gears to work through. Subs didn't help but not sure what else we have. We have a good 11 but rubbish back up.

Not too much on the bench to change things in fairness. As weak a bench as I’ve seen in a while

We might as well have Barry the Ballroom Dancer from Hi-de-Hi and Colin Stagg upfront.
I can't remember a worse collective of strikers at the club since the late 70's. weaker than the skin on frankie fraser's apricot prison hooch. Shit.

Thought Field was very good today. Good to see him back to form. To be honest, I was pretty happy with efforts from all the lads that started. We just lack a striker to get on the end of some decent crosses. I don’t think we’re too far away from a decent run. I just genuinely feel more positive nowadays and I really look forward to us playing now. Good to have the qpr buz back. Have a great Christmas my fellow Rs.

i thought we actually played quite well today tbh. it was a very even game and on a different day would have been a draw. chair was excellent in the first half imo. i didn't think dozzell did well though, infact i'd even forgotten that he was still on the pitch when he was subbed off lol.
the main problem is the one we already know - we need a new striker.
don't really have too many complaints otherwise and can't be too annoyed at the loss as we tried our best and matched them on the pitch.

We defo need proper clinical strikers but more I watch us more think that’s not the only answer as until we have wingers and creative players who actually put the ball in the actual danger zone or pass instead of shooting nothing will change.
Strikers are shit but the service needs be questioned too. I spend more time in games asking why did he not cross that or cut it back then saying how did he miss that.
Would help if we got more bodies in the box and were starting to see signs of that.
