Get fucked you cowards. Play kids. Can we make a strong case for this? Fans in the main would be patient with them, as they have always been with our younger players on the whole. Many of the senior players have let the club and themselves down for at least two years now. If we're going to go down at least go down fighting with youth who would show more grit and fight. What are the alternatives? Go down with a whimper with the present sorry excuse of senior pros? Bring in a striker and midfielder to save our season which is looking increasingly unlikely? (Not even one rumour on that front!)

Kolli played well when he came on yesterday to be fair. Showed a bit of determination. Great cross for the goal too.

I don’t think fans would be patient.
The game is about winning not just taking part. Everyone loves a honourable defeat where you can see they have given everything but that feeling will only last so long.
This is professional football not a nursery there is too much at stake.
If the ‘kid’ is ready to play then they should already be putting pressure on those in the first team or actually playing.
I assume there is a reason why they are rarely even making the bench it’s because they are not close to being ready, therefore next question is does throwing them in make them better long term or kill them going forwards.
We are trying the throw them in strategy with Armstrong and it’s backfiring and it’s not fair on the lad; what long term damage are we doing to both his confidence and career?
Do we want to do that to 5or 6 other kids? Do fans really think a team of 6 Armstrongs is going to be any better? Why is there an assumption that a kid will give more than an established pro is it not attitude based not age?
I’m all for kids playing if they are ready but the key is are they READY!! What happens if kids flop do you call for more experience again it’s all very knee jerk.
Saturday is a dead rubber which offers perfect opportunity to try some younger players so we will quickly see if the clamour for kids will suddenly result in a resurgence.
As said if they are good enough or capable of making a difference they would be involved. Can’t imagine if there is an eze in the youth ranks who is ready to tear the championship apart and save us the club would be keeping them away from the coal face.
Tim hat on and ready to be shot at 😁

We have played kids: Dixon-Bonner, Kolli, Armstrong. Which senior players have let us down? I mean played worse than their current standard is (except Willock)?

Westy, is it knee-jerk or is it desperate times calling for desperate measures? You could even argue it's beyond a desperate measure but a brave one. You're right it could of course backfire but it could also pay off. My personal view is I trust Marti and if he thinks they're ready to step up then all well and good; but if he doesn't then I'm with you. It's his call because he knows it's just as much his own career on the line, and that's his incentive to make such tough decisions.

SDM gets asked for a lot; one of those players that fans think is good but I can only assume he isn't doing much in training. Kolli is getting some game time, it would be nice to see more. Pedder sounds like he is doing well and is creative, so it would be nice for him to play. 'Play the kids' s lazy really, if the kids are no where near the level of those currently playing. Can they be worse? Yes, very much so. Are QPR fans patient? Absolutely not.

The main issue is they aren’t ready. And we really need to be demanding answers from the club as to why they aren’t ready. Whose job is it to be producing players who are capable of coming in and doing a job? Whoever it is they aren’t doing it and we are just pissing money up the wall in paying these jokers. Zero standards at rangers and zero accountability. It’s absolutely ridiculous and totally unsustainable

Why is there an assumption that a kid will give more than an established pro is it not attitude based not age? 1) More incentivised because they're on less money, motivated to make a name for themselves and establish themselves in the game 2) Younger players - generally/often - play with less fear. Youthful exuberance etc. 3) I maintain QPR fans - in the main - show patience with our younger players. Yes of course there are always exceptions. This season for example, Armstrong and Kolli, our fans have in general have shown patience and been supportive with them.

Absolutely not. tbh i think most fans tend to be forgiving when it comes to younger players. we give them a few games and don't tend to make a big deal of their mistakes initially. at least they'd put a shift in and try their best. even the ones who arguebly aren't good enough have their moments. take aaron drewe for example, guy was like a jack russell for his first few games last season and tried his hardest. yeah the likes of kargbo probably won't make it but why isn't a guy like that at least on the bench as a plan B when we're chasing a goal? he might not score but a player of his size unnerves defenders when it comes to set pieces.

Other teams play youngsters but are generally integrated slowly into a settled team and I’m guessing into their best playing positions.
It’s on Marti and Ainsworth that Kolli has been deployed incorrectly on his own up front until yesterday where he played in Chairs role., it’s easy to look at Kolli highlights reel to see where he’s scored or been effective before.
Same could be said about Armstrong and Bonner playing in different roles than those at U21 level, Armstrong has generally played wide left and Bonner as a box to box MF.

It seems like it doesn't matter who is playing when and where at all, because when it counts, this squad don't have a constructive relationship on the pitch at all. I can only guess, but It could be that the reason is that we don't have a natural born leader available who plays most matches.

I think when they embarked down this development road they said it would take 10years before we saw results well it must be ten years or thereabouts so where is the talent and the pathways to first team.

Allen, Goddard, Waddock. Fereday, Neal, Macca all stepped up. Because they were good. Our youth, doesn't appear to be. I will say though, we take far too long with our youth players. We are still loaning them out at 22 when they should just be sold or playing for us.

In the Ipswich Town game Kolli replaced Armstrong so played up front alone and Dykes replaced Bonner and played in a withdrawn MF role. Whenever we're doing badly, some fans insist on playing the youth, even if there's no evidence of their skills. In a few years, these kids are forgotten as they are playing non-league football.

I didn’t think of it like that I said it because he was, and still is looking at him wearing the same ill fitting blue shirt and hair like Catweasal on Sky yesterday. I didn’t see you post anything when others posted similar things about Ainsworth or as an example Jimmy Rabbitt having doubts around the new man Marti recently
