In fairness think we have played kids this season, Dixon-Bonner has made the breakthrough, Armstrong has got a lot of games, Kelman been given some goes, Koli now emerging. I would now like to see a bit more of Koli and also Peddar, as hard to believe he could be worse than Dozzell. Even Clarke-Salter is not that experienced (due to injuries rather than age!). Think you need a blend. The challenge is to get the older players to step up, notably Willock and Field, and get Colback and Cook fit (have given up on Dozzell and Dykes).

If we are relegated I don’t think the likes of Cook, Colback, Dunne, Paal, Salter or the shitty owners will hang around too long, and in doing so best outcome for the club in the long run.

Fair enough, you're the font of all knowledge. Still, o knowledgeable one, Marti has got it wrong with Kolli once then right? Still a need to have a dig at him or is there an agenda there? You thought similarly when I called Ainsworth Scruffy, you posted on here that was a cheap shot from me. I didn’t think of it like that I said it because he was, and still is looking at him wearing the same ill fitting blue shirt and hair like Catweasal on Sky yesterday. I didn’t see you post anything when others posted similar things about Ainsworth or as an example Jimmy Rabbitt having doubts around the new man Marti recently You haven't been looking then. I've said on other posts quoting Jimmy that it's the players, not the manager, and I disagreed with him. Difference is Jimmy can take disagreements without looking down their nose at anyone. Still think the Ainsworth scruffy stuff was irrelevant and, frankly, childish, but there you go. And I actually agree with you that Ainsworth got it wrong with Kolli, he played him far more than Marti has.

I’m just here for the football talk and certainly not about how posters treat each other if they fail to agree and start trading insults.

I do also think along these lines. There will be some pain for sure but I’m sick of these owners and this squad to be honest. The alternative is just to keep treading water, I don’t trust the board to get anything right. Clearing the decks might give us some hope because at the moment the whole thing just feels completely rudderless

I do like the look of Kolli he looks a handful and for his size has a bloody good leap on him. I personally would be giving him minutes over Armstrong as think there is a player in him.

I remember going back a few years it was the foreign players who were the problem at the club and we needed more British players.
We signed experienced players from the UK and we’re still shit then the call was old pros, still shit so call was we need hungry youngsters.
Tried the hungry youngsters and low and behold we’re still shit so now the call is kids from the youth team. We just keep stepping down in the hunt of the answer.
We will be asking for fans next as they love the club and will run through a brick wall, Richard’s has worked on that front.
The key is not age it’s attitude and willingness to work hard. Cook perfect example of that towards end of his career but still adopting the right behaviours. I’m not having that a kid = hungry and willing to graft Adel is perfect example of a youngster with shocking attitude who got on because his ability made up for his attitude but he was an enigma. If your a lazy player or have a bad attitude your going be that character regardless of age in majority of cases Leon jeanne and ravel Morrisons examples of that.
Anthony at united stinking attitude and bang average player that’s not going to suddenly change as he gets older it’s him.

I really value Sparkys input on the kids as he has a genuine interest in them and watches what’s going on so when he says X is worth a shout I tend to look up. Aside from Arohra I don’t recall him saying there are too many playing in the youth/development squad ready to make a difference.
If the standard is Duke and Drewe and kakay before we can’t rely on that pathway currently. I’m not saying there is no potential down there as there 100% will be individuals but there is no way enough down there to justify this call for play the kids.

Am sure the likes of Paal will be looking for better but the likes of Colback are on a two year deal no doubt on decent money - he isn’t going to walk away from his last pay day and who else will want him? Fans often imagine a big clear out but in reality we will be stuck with a lot of the same dead wood, just a bit more bitter and resentful because they believe (wrongly) they deserve better and it was teammates/ the club that let them down. I mean, who the fuck would want Dozzell except a care home?

His performances have been piss poor and backed up with Marti publicly saying he’s expecting much more from such a big player. Marti has been saying for weeks he’s close now he’s saying it’s going slowly. I watched him come off when he supposedly injured his hamstring and he didn’t limp off or hold his hamstring. Nobody is convincing me the likes of Richards,Willock and Colback are not coasting through this season
