Listening to the Steve Cook interview it seems Sint's talk really inspired the team (more than Marti even as relayed by Cook).
So should we be using Sinton more?
I did suggest last time we were all desperate to axe Ainsworth he should be made acting manager.
Don't know what his contractual arrangement is but if he is on staff couldn't he do some coaching?
Not many former England internationals in the building.
Also keep in mind that a lot of players are so young they would have no memory of our glory days or maybe even of us in the Premier League last time. Given players are so out for themselves now the motivational stuff is surely really useful, reminding players that they should be proud to play for QPR, that whatever troubles we have had recently we are a serious football club and pulling on the shirt should mean something. Given that Sinton can say "I got to be an England international and Premier League star playing for QPR" he might just make the likes of Willock think he could advance his career here.
On a side note, Cook impressed me in his interview - intelligent and committed. I suspected he might be after one last pay cheque but its clear he revels in playing and wants to give his all.
Along with Chair probably the most important player in the team and vital he stays fit.

Yes, no Cook, no points… (usually)
Our last Cook was a bit special too.

i don't know how much sinton is involved with the players, i imagine he chats to them on a regular basis.
but it DOES work and does light a fire up players arses to hear someone so connected and loveable towards a club talk passionately to them about how important the club is.
brentford used to do it everytime they played us, they'd get the stadium announcer to talk to the players before the game and he'd give them a rundown of the mostly one sided rivalry and how important the game is to brentford fans. that announcer has worked for brentford since the 60s or something.

If his talks are anything like his commentaries I would fall asleep.
