Wonder why they chose lend them money from all clubs in world and how the approach was made. Very odd

i remember about 20 years ago the bin laden's wanted to get into football but weren't able too. they're still a very rich and powerful family even if their reputation has been ruined because of osama. makes sense for them to want to get into football though, arab's are eating football up like crazy atm and are buying clubs all over the world.

To be fair, the Bin Laden family are very prominent Saudi businessmen. Osama Bin Laden was very much the black sheep of the family and his views were not representative of the vast majority of his relatives.

Would they pass the "fit and proper person" test though? Most people seem to find a way around that one. The Bin Ladan family have considerable financial interests all around the world. Osama was a bit of a maverick, Gooner as I recall...
