Maybe he wanted to be loyal to the existing players but he has selected a semi-Ainsworth side. We know Smith is technically hopeless, Armstrong is a great trier but won't score you a goal, we need the two players on the pitch who rescued it against Norwich plus Willock - Willock might do fuck all and fart about but he might just provide that cross or moment of magic that we have completely lacked so far.
