Most of us (including me) have gone about mentality of this bunch over a couple of years. But when I look at it today and the team and performances under Marti, is that really true? Look at games we’ve lost. Norwich - deserved a draw. Wednesday - maybe Marti could have done more but Dunne made a silly error. Southampton, we did well and deserved a point against a very good side. Millwall - shocking but was it more Marti not getting it right rather than the players? Cardiff - I think without Chair and Willock, we will always struggle….especially before new signings. Watford - we played well and were very unlucky, just some bad finishing. Stoke - is this just example of Marti getting out-thought and first goal being the killer? Smyth missed 2 great chances to put us in the lead.

What a performance I would argue one of the best this season and we absolutely deserved the three points. That performance beats Stoke midweek and keeps us up end of the season if we maintain that level.

Thumbs up to the manager put a side out that was not only willing to roll its sleeves up but also play a bit of football. I’ve been critical of Dunne but he was double solid at RB done a superb job and there was clearly a game plan as when we had goal kicks he went up to the half way line to challenge for the ball and Hayden tucked in for him.

Hayden went about his business quietly but he pops up where you need him. Thought him and field were nice blend. JCS and Cook 💙 and Paal back him his best.

Anderson was quiet first half but came to life in the second. Willock and Chair welcome to the season where have you both been. Chair was more direct when he got on the ball and every time Willock got it especially second half you thought something was going to happen. That was the Willock from the Warburton era and that Willock is worth fighting to keep.

I actually thought Dykes had a reasonable game he put himself about and challenged for everything.

Hey you guys came on and also put himself about up top he’s never going to run away from a defender but their going to get rid of the ball before he arrives as he will physically outmuscle most CBs
