yesterday's game just goes to show how quickly things can turn around in this insane league. couple of weeks ago and it was a "we're definitely safe" vibe. i'm still certain that we will stay up, we just need a couple more points and that's it. i'd even wager that we're probably safe already, wouldn't bet my house on it though. Wow, I wish I had your confidence after that awful weekend we have just had. I am starting to think that awful late goal against Plymouth could cost us dear. I know we probably only need one more win but have we got it in us? |

Sheff Weds H
Coventry H
Leicester A
Hard last three, but Blackburn beat Leeds last time out. Think they'll get 4 points.
18: Plymouth
Stoke A
Millwall A
Hull H
Average last three, and Plymouth beat Leicester last game. Think they'll get 3 points.
19: QPR
Preston H
Leeds H
Coventry A
Worrying last three - really need the win against Preston. Think we'll get at least 2 points, hopefully 4.
20: Stoke
Plymouth H
Southampton A
Bristol City H
Tricky last three, but Stoke have only lost one in the last five. Think they'll get 4 points.
21: Birmingham
Rotherham A
Huddersfield A
Norwich H
Norwich apart, pretty good last three - think Brum will get at least 4 points

That would need us needing at least a win. I think one win will do it but even then, that probably takes it to the last day. Let us hope it is just a mathematical thing by then if that is the case.

I put Wednesday down for a draw away at Blackburn (who aren't safe), a loss at West Brom (chasing a play-off place) and a draw away at Sunderland, who'll have a big crowd and whose fans will be seriously unhappy with a home loss on the last day of the season. All complete guesswork though - they might get nine points, or zero! |

If we end up being mathematically safe with two to go that really is an incredible feat. Particularly when you think we blew a few opportunities to beat the teams around us yet still managed to dig ourselves of the shite.
Fair play to Marti and his staff. Also to the players, some more than others obviously. And to the fans, who have played a massive part in this both home and away.
