Got what we deserved. They came to out work us and they achieved it.
That’s a poor Sheffield Wednesday side and they have taken six points off us.
Armstrong was shocking as were Willock, Chair and Anderson. How you can play all three creative midfielders and create nothing is appalling all three on the pitch don’t work pick two and bench the other.
Anderson supposed be the ball player but he takes up shit positions so you can’t get him the ball.
Shitty shitty effort after all the hard work they have put in.

Marty had his pants pulled down. They double marked both wings, put Armstrong in their pocket, and Marty didn't have a plan B.

Watch Jesus for their second. Absolutely disgraceful effort. I wish I had two planks of wood and a bag of nails.

Yes we are safe😂😂😂😂.
Armstrong got no change out of the ref all afternoon.
Having said that they wantrd it more.
So we back in the mix, very poor performance considering what was at stake.
Off to Plymouth now another hard game.
We never do things the easy way.

Anderson is a good player when you’re on top of and controlling the game but an absolute passenger when backs are against the wall.

More impressive that he says he is angry.
Needs to make it plain, in public, at the end of the season that shit strikers explain why we were so poor this season.

I actually thought the ref was very good tbh let the game flow .

Given that all three strikers are crap, today Marti picked what is arguably our best team - and they didn’t turn up. Again. Chair, Willock, Andersen, Armstrong…. nothing. Donkey made no difference and Smyth made a couple of runs but no end product. What is it with these guys? Surely they know we’re still in a fight. Where’s their’s?

My only criticism of Marti is playing Willock on the right where IMO he is out of position. As soon as he made the subs on 67 mins and pushed Willock inside we began to look more threatening. That being said, it was a dreadful day at the office today and we were farking shite basically. I firmly believe he needs to tinker the above to get the best of the three behind the striker. We have a massive problem with our strikers however and no manager in the world could do anything about that, and for that reason I cut the rest of the team and the manager a modicum of slack until the issue finally gets addressed this summer. As for the board, they are the ones ultimately to blame for the criminal decision of embarking on this season without even one recognised striker at this level. Ferdinand and Ainsworth are responsible in equal measure for that decision which at least is what cost them their jobs.

Given he is fully fit, Willoch could have been given a chance to play more centrally. Chair is too greedy, Andersen at times the opposite and a bit lazy perhaps. As far as Armstrong is concerned, he is still not the finished article, but only an impact sub.

Plymouth is our easiest game left.
Anything less than a win would be unacceptable.
Players owe the fans big time.
Proper 6-pointer.

Best thing about today is that Millwall, Birmingham and Swansea lost too. Stoke and Blackburn could only draw, so no-one pulled clear.

pretty shocking all round performance tbh. only thing of note was andersen's crossbar clipping shot in the second half. missed the first 20 minutes due to traffic but maybe should have taken that as a sign and turned around.
these games happen, we can't win them all but personally i expect more fight when we do lose. no issue if we lose simply because the other team was better than us despite our best effort.
special note to the wednesday fans though who created tremendous noise throughout the match.

Scratching my head. We didn't press, we sat back and allowed Weds to play. Bizarre tactics. I've said the same as you guys before, Willock should play central. For all that we've lauded Marti, that was a shit show.

One thing that’s a certainty is by hook or by crook, we will start next season under MC with two decent strikers from who knows where.
The fucking atrocious, piss poor options we’ve had to endure this season is unforgivable from the club.
Only ones I have sympathy for is muscles to an extent who we know was never ready to be thrown into this level of football and Frey who’s only just arrived although arguably gives us more than the other wanker who’s name I can’t be arsed mentioning any more.
Kelman not even worth a mention. Should be in the national league.

Fella stood behind me was spot on. When Armstrong comes up against someone good, he hasn’t a clue. Bit naughty after the 2nd goal went in but those wankers deserved pelting for celebrating in front of us.
I thought I hated Birmingham, but these cunts take it to a whole new level of cheating and time wasting. It was absolutely disgraceful and shame on that pathetic, sorry excuse of a referee. An utter bellend of the highest order.

I know it’s controversial but I’m not sure I would offer Armstrong a new contract. Said exactly the same to my son leaving the ground today. He’s had what 50 odd games now? How many games has he had a good game? I think he’s been given a fair shot and wouldn’t be too disappointed to let him go.

Yes, we've got the worst strike force in the league. Imagine where we'd be if we had a finisher. That's why I wish Marti would drop his insistence on playing one up front and play Willock as a false nine. In our best run under boilface that's what he did. He dropped Dykes and played a front three of Willock, Chair and Roberts. We've got some good players, but if they're trying to work with a useless striker, what good is it? No coincidence our last three goals have come from defenders.
If I was to go into Olly mode, I'd say play Jimmy Dunne as a striker. He's a better finisher that Dykes or Armstrong and he has better ball control.

[EDIT]: First team squad: 38, Starting eleven: 19, Substituted in: 15 Still only 20, worth persevering with and offering a new contract - will always be a market for that type of forward so can sell him on in a year or two.
