Why should we give more tickets then we have too and give up home advantage.

Interesting use of the word "should": surely its entirely up to us? from an unbiased POV i think a lot of teams criticism towards our ticket allocation and prices are valid tbh. they always give us a fair share and fair price unless they're one of those teams that give us a taste of our own medicine. my biased POV though? get fucked, i'd rather have Rs fans in the entire stadium than passionate away fans willing their team on lol.

If we don’t sell it and away can fair enough take the money but whilst we can sell it out sit upstairs and shut the fuck up.

We have a much smaller ground so therefore proportionally we should give less away. So much easier if you are a Swansea and are just gifted out of town land for a stadium by the council. If you are in a city where every inch of real estate is valuable its hardly suprising tickets are more expensive here. Yorkshiremen never happier than when moaning about prices down south...

Anyway, memo to Acton: you had a go at granddad the other week for a poor effort on the match thread.
So where is your pre-match analysis?
Where's your poll?
Surprised Alan isn't giving you pelters...

This game is another cup final but i am a little concerned about the result.
Dont know why but for me a potential banana skin as is the long trip to Plymouth.
A draw in both would be great in my opinion.

Think this will be a real tough match ya know, Sheff W fighting for their lives. I think we will nick it tbh (brimming with confidence atm!) - but think it will be a very cagey affair.

I think this will be a tough match for SW, because for them it's an absolute 'must-win' game, but I don't think it's a tough match for us. We are good at containing teams these days, so I expect us to keep it tight at the back and hit them on the break, when they have no choice but to attack. 1-0 Rangers.

Interesting use of the word "should": surely its entirely up to us? I think home sides are meant to offer up around 10% of overall stadium capacity to away fans. I think the top tier pretty much covers that, so no obligation to offer the lower tier also. Expecting a sell-out crowd, much better (and totally reasonable) to offer the lower tier to home fans.

I don't think Marti will allow that, Lofty. The whole squad is fit (barring Kolli) and raring to go. Start with Hayden and Field in front of our now solid defence, and we will soak up any pressure. If Chair and Willock can deliver as AMs, then I guess the only issue is who to play up top. Although he hasn't done it yet, I'd still like to see how playing with Chair or Willock as a false 9 would work in a team something like this:
Bego
Dunne Cook JCS Paal
Hayden Field
Andersen
Smyth Willock Chair

I like this idea better than having a useless No 9 upfront every game

Personally would not change what is currently working whilst there remains something to play for.
Current formation has got us out the shit why tinker?

Marti has changed the line-up from match to match considerably recently, so in fact, the tinkering has worked. He hasn't started with the same striker in the last 4 games for example. Different midfields as well. All my suggested line-up does is swap a so-called striker for an AM, yet it retains the strongest defence and midfield available. So if I was being pedantic, I'd say it's not really even 'tinkering', it's adjusting!

Hubs I had assumed that was a change of formation with three up top when we play one up top. Misunderstood you.
Absolutely accept he changes personnel and not problem with that.

So on that score, it does represent tinkering, because instead of a single focal point in attack, we'd be mixing it up between the AMs. However, if Willock was the false 9, then it's not too dissimilar, if he was to be the focal point....

I would also have liked him to experiment with a false 9 as we go round in circles looking for a striking solution from our current squad. That said, you can't argue with what Marti has achieved and if he thinks having a target man is working I bow to his better judgement.
BTW, what is Dykes if not a false 9? A "fake 9", maybe?
Re formation, I think our priority should be not to lose this game. Sheffield Wed under more pressure to win. Be half tempted to play it tight with Field, Hayden and Coleback.
