Think hubs suggested no strikers week or so back perhaps he’s right and we have reached the point to try that. Actually.... this was first suggested on here when Dykes was injured during Beale's tenure, when for a few games he played AMFs up top. That's like half way to playing a false 9. The reason it was suggested was because then, as now, we simply didn't have any strikers. What is really unbelievable is that despite being a club that doesn't employ strikers, successive managers haven't had the imagination to find a strategy which accommodates this. Except for a few games under Beale, when we were good. Thinking about it, I reckon the idea of us playing false 9 may predate Beale, I just can't be arsed to search.....  |

Such a huge game and one that MC needs to make absolutely sure that they are up for. Not convinced he is able to though, as he does seem to make bloody hard work of beating the shit teams. Win this one and it gives him 4 games to experiment with some youngsters to see if they are up to the job, before deciding their futures next month. The earlier we can start planning and being proactive over the summer break for a change, the better our chances of going into next season with an outside chance of play offs, but more importantly, no more long relegation fights. |

i think birmingham will join rotherham in league 1 which leaves only one other spot and given our form and position i don't think it'll be us.

No Frey and no Colback, people have moaned about both so neither are a big loss imo. Frey no better than Dykes. Colback a walking yellow card.
