We could so easily have not scored last night. Our finishing was atrocious, again. Hopefully there will be a bell in the ball for Hull.

So many sides the wrong end of the Championship are similar: every one seems to have a couple of players you think "wouldn't mind him at ours". Like Plymouth have two strikers with an unbelievable scoring record and a decent looking winger. But their defence and keeper looked very shaky indeed and if we had more about us we could have really punished them. We all moan about our strikers - they prob moan about their defenders. Its like the budgets or scouting only seems to enable most teams at our level to get a few decent players.
All that said totally accept our striking options are beyond pitiful. That's why I think we should be a bit more cheerful than we seem to be on how we have done since the close of the transfer window and what that left us with upfront.

Goalkeeper-wise, I'd be interested in learning whether Walsh is ready for Championship duties. If Begovic hadn’t been fucking up, costing us points, then we could have afforded the luxury of trying the younger keepers to see how they coped. We knew we needed a different one next season, so it would have been nice to know if we needed to buy someone or if we already had him. Quite depressing when I think of keepers such as Springett, Parkes, Burridge, Woods, Hucker, Seaman and Kenny amongst others plying their trade at Rangers, then comparing with the garbage we’ve had to suffer in recent years. Haven’t had a competent keeper since Smithies IMO. |

We have the hardest run in I just looked at the other clubs games Apart from Blackburn We need a result against Hull I cannot see any more points atm Birmingham got three hard games, Wednesday three hard games and Huddersfield two hard games. Not everyone is going to pick up points. Plus don’t forget games are running out for everyone we’re down to four now. I needed this level headed post After last night The others are more in the shit than us tbh |
