Probably natural to sound off after we give away what should have been three points but think we should go a little easy on the Marti criticism. We don't win so its easy to say "if only he had done this or that". Fact is if it was almost any other manager we had got instead, we would be in the bottom three, not 4 points clear with four to play (and superior GD on our rivals). If he had Harry Kayne on the bench, sure bring him on and try to win the match. But look at his options. I hope Armstrong makes it but he has 3 goals all season and was shocking last game. If Marti had gone all out attack and we lost the game (as we did away to Sheffield Wednesday earlier in the season) that might really have knocked the stuffing out of us. Instead its one more point and another game our rivals can't get three points on us. Disappointed as anyone not to hold out but I've felt a lot bleaker at times this season than I do tonight. Onto the next one. I love our manager and most likely true that with anyone else we could well be gone. Does not mean he is beyond criticism as we need to get the points needed to keep us up. I just hope he is not about to choke and do silly things. By the way I think he has been outstanding for us but tonight was totally different to how he sorted out other games.

Not harsh just saying a true centre forward does not pass that ball. Agreed 73, however Smyth has no excuse not to bury that gilt edged chance on a plate Not defending Smyth at all as it is impossible to do so. Your centre forward should go for goal and that pattern of play highlighted why he and we do not score enough goals.

What really, really upsets me is that we again threw a win away just like that. The whole team just folded like I have seen so fucking many times now. Defence were good tonight so I wouldn't blame them. That goal was all down to Begovic. Saying that, this team does need to score at least two goals to win games, which again returns us to our main perennial problem of lack of quality strikers. Smyth takes one of the two chances he had and you have your two goal lead. But if you buy average league 1 players your going get average league one performances. Thanks Gareth left us with a gem 🙄

He hasn't done much lately tbf. about to say this what were people expecting him to do which he has not done majority of the season. Its the hope that kills you. Look westy. You're normally fair (unless replying to alan), but did you see the situation where Sincs won the ball outside the area right hand side last minute or so? That's what we needed for 20 minutes after going one up, not for final 2 minutes ffs.

Did not need to score just rough them up and kill the game by making those lumps at the back play facing their own goal.

We have the hardest run in I just looked at the other clubs games Apart from Blackburn We need a result against Hull I cannot see any more points atm Birmingham got three hard games, Wednesday three hard games and Huddersfield two hard games. Not everyone is going to pick up points. Plus don’t forget games are running out for everyone we’re down to four now.

Paal has become a clear liability imo, other than I agree; Fox in particular was immense. got a few examples of why he’s suddenly deemed a liability? Liability is the keeper

Thought Chair played well when he was on. Liked seeing him taking the shot on with his left peg rather than running round his right foot.

The keeper has fucked us tonight, but in all honesty, it should have been well wrapped up before then.
How has Smyth missed a fucking open goal with only the keeper to beat?! you’ve got to fucking bury those.

That is the point he did not have to do much other than keep their backline honest and in their own half facing their own goal. Get us up the pitch nicking a foul, corner or throw in to kill the game.

But can’t see them losing many between now and end of season. I’m trying to be positive….so I’m hoping the late home kick offs will help atmosphere and turn home form around. Away form has been decent, so we shouldn’t fear anyone.

Liked seeing him taking the shot on with his left peg rather than running round his right foot. I thought he was poor, profligate as usual, missed a great chance early first half, still doesn't look up.... a frustrating player to watch. Seems to think he has to do everything. Surprised Marti hasn't coached a little composure into him.
Thought Willock made a difference when he came on and I think that tactic works, he seems better just playing second half.

How has Smyth missed a fucking open goal with only the keeper to beat?! you’ve got to fucking bury those. Absolutely. So many chances. Willock almost got in to make it two, so close. Could he have been a bit more determined? Just one of five or more gilt-edged chances goes in and we are home and hosed. But we find it impossible to take a two-goal lead which heaps massive pressure on the defence. They know one clanger and its two points fucked. Bigger picture - next season a striker who scores the odd goal plus a keeper who catch or punches - we are transformed.

Hopefully it’s a dead rubber by last game for them.
