No mention of Willock on that list, but at least we managed to retain Taylor Richards!😳

Frey here next season from that list so hopefully we get him proper fit and firing. Can't see that happening. Too many miles on the clock (around 400 pro appearances). We've got one striker who isn't fit for purpose at the best of times and who now cant be sold for love or money, another one who is basically good at running around until he gets tired but can't score, and Frey who moves like a 45 year old. A large amount of this is legacy shite from the bad old days, but if we go to war with those three as our 9 options we're mid table at best. IMO

Plenty of time was stated before last season and nearly cost our championship status.(Westy)
Hope they start resolving certain issues soon as on the face of it,we have more problems than answers again.
Not panicking but it feels like the same old song.

Oh well nothing to be bothered about as we are in such good hands.
Even if unproven.

Absolutely confident between Marti and Nourry we will get 2 forwards in who will do a job for us.
They are more than aware of the shocking shortage we have up front.

The window is a long torturous affair. The players are back next week for the weigh-in and health checks before departing for Spain on Monday week (Mon). It means that Begovic and Willock only have 12 days left on the payroll and so I doubt they will go a day without wages, so expect news soon. Willock was on holiday with Seny and Taylor Roberts, so we will see if rumours of him signing a new contract was rubbish or not. But we all know that we need strikers. But who / what can we afford? We have some leeway apparently with FFP, but strikers are costing so much now. Jay Stansfield from Fulham to Hull, apparently will cost £4m if Fulham decide to release after evaluating him in pre-season. Scott Twine from Burnley to Bristol City will cost £4m and he is not even an out and out striker - and has quite an injury record. I doubt without the Eze money, we are even shopping in that aisle. We often say that there are bargains out there - but are there? We picked up Frey from Aldi. and maybe he was not fit last season, but he has got a way to go to be a regular starter for the first team. But I think that Marti will know what he wants to do to progress the team, and that may mean sacrificing Clarke-Salter to raise funds. But in the end it is all about timing. When we know what is in the cash register, we can take it to the bank...hopefully! Keep the faith!

First meaningless click-bait prediction (but I still had a look at it...) from London World.
Champions - Leeds Runners up - Burnley
3rd - Luton 4th - Boro 5th - Coventry 6th - West Brom
12th - QPR
Relegated...
22nd - Cardiff 23rd - Plymouth 24th - Oxford

I'll take it!..and a 4th round FA cup tie. Considering how well Marti did with a demoralised team from a ‘standing start', I think I expect better than 12th place. He’ll get his own players in, he’ll have the pre-season to make sure his methods sink in. And the whole squad will be in a happier, more confident place. Pending what happens to the team regarding incomings and outgoing players, at the moment I’m hoping 6th-9th.

So we have Richards,Armstrong,Dykes,Frey the first 3 are waste of space some think. Frey imo would be better in a pie. We have Paal who is dispensable apparently,Willock who is injury prone and doesnt know whether he is staying coming or going. A new keeper who is yet to be proven,no strikers that are adequate,Jcs who could leave tomorrow All bodes well for a great pre season and as for Alan getting a good watch, the clock is ticking and ceratainly isnt a Rolex. tbh not bringing in signings right away makes sense from an FFP standpoint as any money paid out would have reflected on last season's accounts. new seasons accounts didn't start until the 1st of july. maybe that's the reason why the willock deal has been pushed back, he'd understandably want a decent signing on fee which we simply couldn't pay last season. eze has a release clause of £60m and it'd be a shocker if no club took palace up on that. i'd be surprised if the purse strings weren't loosened in the coming weeks
