Looks like we're still shopping at Poundland. Not bothered about that so much Hubs but would be good to be after someone who plays just as a striker.

beleive in the process. Data doesnt lie, its about putting the pices of the puzzle together. Its about what they provide them team not who they play for or their value.

no one thought that kenny, hill, derry or mackie would play a crucial role in our title season but here we are.
koroma is a decent player imo.

better than Armstrongs 4 in 64 😊 I’m only teasing. Agree with Al underwhelming as a striker so they surely can’t be looking at him for his goals alone. Going be honest and say I don’t recall or have any knowledge on him. Based on goals I would say no thanks.

Ok for a winger. Decent replacement for Willock. Almost a year younger. Not a bad move if it happens, imo.

When I looked him up it said he was a striker. Ok if he’s winger give him benefit of the doubt but his assist record is poor too. 11 assists in five seasons.

We need players that can finish, everyman and their dog knows this.

Koroma has the versatility Marti wants in his team.

1. Lets see if Koroma does sign 2.. If he does give him a chance to see what he can do before condemning him.
I have said before that imo buying a championship level forward is expensive and have been knocked back with the other viewpoint that there are plenty of unknowns who can be picked up cheaply and develop into something good. Maybe Koroma is one of them. Not too worried about what he did at Huddersfield given their team performances and lack of goal power same as ours.
edit - depending which site you look at he is stated to be a winger who can play on either wing or as a straight striker - versatile across the front line which would be handy.

Ive read the data.
Once again we need a goalscorer not versatility.
Is this Koroma any better than we already have, not according to his stats
£750,000 could of got Langstaff for that.

He's not a striker though is he? He's an attacking midfielder or winger Marti can use him as a striker in his system. Marti doesn't play false 9.... plus we have others who can play in a top line, eg Kolli. What we need is an actual centre forward whose job is to score goals. Maybe Frey can help but the jury is massively out on that one. Pretty sure this guy has not been brought in to do that job.

No, if they do bring him in, it must clearly be to replace Willock.

I know it is early days still, but players out of contract have not been earning a wage since the 1st July. We released a lot of players, and so few seem to have sorted their futures out as yet, and those who have seem to have dropped further down than their loan history. Gubbins signing for Southend (a club with a very uncertain future) is quite a statement - he started in our opening fixture at Watford! He was often touted as the best of the crop coming through and yet it seems did not manage to secure a permanent league move to Accrington. Begovic was supposed to be in demand and rejected our offer. Kakay turned down a loan in January...Dozzell probably hasn't noticed that he has been released yet. Perhaps they will do ok by August, but I look out for news of our departures with interest. Kakay, Adomah, Drewe, Dozzell, Woodman (Wealdstone), Jeche, Pedder, Randall, Dukes-Boyd (Cheltenham), Anthony, Kargbo, Cant, Ajose, Sackey, Archer (Portsmouth), Dukes-McKenna (Harrogate), Gubbins (Southend), Balla, Bogovic, Willock (Cardiff).

The Koroma rumour is from just another click bait site, how many players do we get linked with from them that actually sign for us?....not many I would guess.

If We cannot afford Begovic I cannot see Blackburn being able to unless he drops his demands a long way. They are just as cash strapped as us. Plus Dykes is hardly going to fill the goal scoring gap they have. As you say reads like total clickbait. As for any signings I expect the first we will hear of any is when they hit the Offie or someone puts a selfie on the web. Little or nothing is leaking from the club until they announce it - Willock and especially Richards totally under the radar and not a click story in sight.

If we can offload Dykes for a fee then our CEO should be given the freedom of Shepherd’s Bush

swap deal is suggested in that artical. blackburn have some good talent at the club, what do we need more though? maybe another person to work the phones? a new cashier in the lower loft? either one would be an excellent addition.

Some are already growing restless over our lack of a striker signing but I will judge this window at its close, not its opening stages. Seems the early stages have been hugely successful: sweeping out the stables, getting rid of the dead wood and the rotten apples, and now possibly Dykes too; almost completely repopulating our development squad and bringing in some young players of promise to get the development escalator started; and then knowing what money will be available (including if anything likely to come in from Eze) the club will hopefully late in the window be able to bring in a striker who was always likely to be the most expensive part of the equation.
