I was initially annoyed as think that Walker should go left back and Palmer deserves to start but other than Trippier at left back, it’s pretty much got players in right positions, If you're right, leaving the best 10 in Europe on current form sat cooling his butt for the first 75m makes no sense to me. Again, if you're right, it makes an it easy read for the opposition. Having said that, I think the back line has been excellent and if they can speed up the transitions they'll be fine.

0-0 and out on pens or a 1-0 loss.

Judging by how the tournament has gone, if England were to do the unthinkable and beat Slovakia, I have a feeling Italy would be the easier game in the quarter final

Wow, Swiss totally outplayed the spaghetti munchers.
Italy looked pretty clueless and lethargic, but Switzerland played some great stuff - tight, close passing, good movement, relaxed, composed and just 'professional' throughout.
No guarantee we'll beat Slovakia, but if we do, Switzerland are going to be tough opposition.

England have just been 'pacing themselves' through the group stages, apparently. It's all part of a cunning plan 😅

Don’t get me wrong mate, Southgate’s supposed side wouldn’t be my choice. But I’m a lot happier having Mainoo in midfield rather than Gallagher or TAA. Palmer could be a great impact sub in 2nd half. Just trying to look at positives.

You'd want it given if it was your side.

Germany lucky win. Denmark offside no human can see and one minute later ball hits Andersen's finger.

Denmark were robbed, twice. I couldn't watch any more after that "offside' decision and then that ludicrous "handball". Totally ruined the game for me.

Ridiculous watch last night. Uefa got what they wanted. Twats. Cunts. Cheats. Yup, gobsmackingly ridiculous decisions on both counts. Can't help feeling the fact that Germany were the host country was a factor in arriving at both of those decisions.

Me neither. Was gutted. I can believe it. Yet again, an outstanding example of the clear daylight scenario being needed. But tbh I think the handball would have been given in the majority of top flight games across Europe, thats the way the game is these days. England will win this afternoon and I am alone here in reckoning the Swiss will suit them nicely. The English back line looks way more solid than Italy's and the Swiss play an open game which leaves space behind.
