Spanning the generations - Mick Leach and Sam Field I agree with Mick Leach but do we under appreciate Sam Field? I know I was very pleased when he signed a new contract. He popped up with quite a few goals at end of the season didn't he? The two goals against West Brom spring to mind. Yes, he still divides opinion massively. Does a lot of ugly work, always gets a foot in somewhere and has done so in a struggling team for two seasons but gets jumped on if he has a poor game on the ball.

Idrissa Sylla and Matt Phillips come to mind from recent times Thought them both pants. So very under appreciated by me. Phillips could play, however, do it was a mater of disliking him.

TBF to you, he did go off for a while. Ainsworth had a lot to answer for.
