Some of the comments about Kolli on twitter are way over the top. Had a great game but people bigging him up fear we’re going put him in the same bracket as Armstrong and expect too much and put to much pressure on him.

we've had a few top class 10s still want to know who we reckon is going to own that shirt this time round Celar maybe Nah, he's an out and out striker.

First up: what a contrast to last year's preseason and the Oxford Utd 5-0 debacle. Night and Day folks, night and day.
Second up, we've got ourselves a proper keeper! I was well impressed by Nardi; his distribution was fantastic - again, what a contrast with Begovic, and he made three outstanding saves. Couldn't really blame him for the 2 that got past him.
Third up: Kolli is clearly a talent. Loved the way he shaped that shot. He'll need plenty of game time though.
As for the rest, well, mostly big positives: Jimmy Dunne was excellent. Andersen was excellent. Smyth was a menace on the right and also defended very well. Seems to have energy to burn.... if only he could cross better. Cookie and JCS looked as good as last season. EDB looked pretty good. Paal did ok. Colback did ok.
Second half I was impressed by most of the new lads, especially Lloyd (think we've got a great player there), Bennie, Talla and Tuck. Santos showed glimpses of real potential as a right winger. Of course, it's way too early to make any judgement calls, but as i said at the start, the contrast with last season is immense. And we've got Celar to come as well of course. Think we're going to do okay this season folks.

Sorry for the stupid question but who was our no27 on the left wing in second half? He really stood out. Also thought cook was brilliant in first half He block three shots that were destined for the goal. Keeper was very good and very comfortable with the ball at his feet. Pal was crap as usual, all he does is back off when someone runs at him. Donkey, apart from his slow motion header, done nothing as usual.
Thought Frey was much better and caused them problems. He also scored but still don’t know why the goal was ruled out.

Very flattering scoreline for Spurs if the highlights are anything to go by:

We always do that when a kid shows a bit of promise though, don't we? I do like the look of Kolli though, he's got something about him. That being said, I'm not sure he's really ready to slot into the first team just yet.

Really not sure about Andersen. Seems a bit lightweight and indecisive at times. Several times was just thinking put your foot through it.

Also I thought he and Willock cramped each others style a bit last season, so hopefully will be freer now

He played really well and it's great to see a youngster with a bit of fire in him and confidence to play the way he did, butttt as you mentioned, let the kid play, get a bit of experience and if used sparingly could be an asset. Right now he's just a kid barely out the development squad.

Brand new to the boards. Approved 25 minutes ago exactly!
I was in London last week, visited the superstore, purchased over $700 in gear/stuff, and am set until the next time I cross the pond! I like the White Horse pub the most of the ones I visited. So, it was suggested to me to check this site out, and here I am.
Introductory thoughts:
I watched the game from the other side of the pond today. Having no names on jerseys was tough at first, but what I did notice is that we now have options! Legit options. I'm friends with a couple of Spurs fans and they were none to happy about how that game played out. They were thinking 4 or 5 - nil at least. They knew the last goal was a garbage time goal, and it was. We possessed well, our goalie is good, took shots on goal that required great saves, still not sure about the off sides call on the goal we did score, but we have not looked like this in preseason since...... hell..... I can't think back that far!
I'm a big Marti fan and I'm looking forward to next weekend!

Anderson decent player but he’s still not adapted to the pace of the English game. Always someone snapping at your ankles so less time to deal with the ball then he’s probably used too. Same can be said for new keeper loved the look of him but he holds it too long, opposition will block it some very close shaves yesterday.

Anyone know where Chair is? Chair is either under a one match ban from the club but more likely just got a fine and slap one the wrists for. I would guess he is in Belgium working off as much of his 150 hours community service as possible before we get closer to the season then do the rest during the first international break. Celar - probably still waiting for international clearance and no time yet to train and settle into the squad.

It was a friendly with more players on both sides than I can name from the top of my head so no great worries and encouraging signs all over the pitch. Wait for the actual starting teams to be named and the window to end before making final judgements. But first sight is far more optimistic than last season and we have more strength in depth and some younger players who may be ready earlier than thought - looks like we will have a strong bench.
What else do we need? Most will say another striker but I ask what more can we afford. Still think Marti will stick with Dykes for some reason.
Time for Spuds to go get Eze. Even if we do not spend this window the windfall would keep us clear of FFP for a couple of season at least.

He was at the game

Lloyd is 21 so at that age where we have historically held on to players too long!! I saw enough of him yesterday to think he’s worth investing time in but 21 no first team debut so far, granted had injury last season but why have we not seen him before in league cup games etc
Wonder what Ramseys ploy was for delaying youth team progress into first team or is that just down to managers. Feels like in other clubs at age of 18 players are being dripped into first team where we do it at 21/22.

I was thinking about the same thing when I was watching yesterday, but it reminded me how I've felt the same sense of 'jeez, he's walking a tightrope there' when watching Premiership keepers - Ederson, Pickford (especially), Allison, they all do it, even in the Euros there were many times when it seemed like it was a split second between the keeper getting his pass away and the attacker intercepting it. I actually think it's a sign of great confidence in their abilities and it looks like Nardi shares that. Which is fantastic!
(I also think that Championship attackers won't have the pace of Tottenham's strikers).

For the most part I hope they get good loans, ideally to L1 clubs. Unless the player is very young I struggle to see the point of a non league or arguably even League 2 loan - if they can’t get higher are they realistically going to make it in the Champ? Some big decisions on the likes of Kohli, Morrison, Beanie and Lloyd among others. Out of necessity we kept hold of Armstrong but he would have benefited from starting 30 games in L1 last season. Unless maybe Kohli and Morrison likely to start a number of games hope they can get good loans. Depends on us having enough strength in depth of course.

Realistically he is not going to get in ahead of Chair on left unless Chair played as a number 10 in the centre? Not sure if Kolli can play in another position?
