think kolli looks good enough to warrant a place in the squad tbh. Exciting if so. Just hope in that case he is actually used. Realistically he is not going to get in ahead of Chair on left unless Chair played as a number 10 in the centre? Not sure if Kolli can play in another position? He played on the left yesterday.

Liability Really not sure about Andersen. Seems a bit lightweight and indecisive at times. Several times was just thinking put your foot through it. Agree. Not a 10 . Still think Marti will stick with Dykes for some reason. That's because no one else wants him. Another liability. Kolli & Alfie: that thread that Sparks contributed to a lot, yout dem, flagged em up what, 18 months ago? Two years? Good to see both of them on park same game, historically we've been slow to blood. Right now you could go Chair 8 Kolli 10 because in truth there isn't any other obvious candidate for that shirt. Massive ask for the boy.

Sorry for the stupid question but who was our no27 on the left wing in second half? He really stood out. Also thought cook was brilliant in first half He block three shots that were destined for the goal. Keeper was very good and very comfortable with the ball at his feet. Pal was crap as usual, all he does is back off when someone runs at him. Donkey, apart from his slow motion header, done nothing as usual. Thought Frey was much better and caused them problems. He also scored but still don’t know why the goal was ruled out. Alfie lloyd Thanks Awin…. He looked really good and very strong and confident. Was very impressed with him and the keeper. Was shouting go on Frey every time he got the ball, so much so that fella next to me asked if I had a bet on him to score…. I responded by saying was sick of seeing donkey year after year doing fark all and just want to see anyone keep him out of the team. Then, in the second half, dopey cant comes on and misses from one yard out. I turned to guy and just said, you see.

Watching the game today I was seeing a team that's not going to struggle this season. We looked good, cricket. Far cry form watching preseason away to Wimbledon last year.

A 10 needs to be good on the ball with both feet. Chair favors the right, mostly, and Kolli was obviously bringing it back to his right. He’s young, so if he can work on that, maybe one day. Personally, I want to see both on the field at the same time so put Chair in the middle and force him to figure it out.

Not seen it mentioned but the finish from Frey for the offside goal was very good. Got in space and got cracking connection. The build up play was also fantastic too would have been superb goal if it counted.

Same can be said for new keeper loved the look of him but he holds it too long, opposition will block it some very close shaves yesterday. One yesterday I was absolutely certain it was about to be shut down by the incoming Spurs player, but he actually pulled off an amazing pass out to the left wing. Problem is, as mentioned he defo won't get away with that many times.

Really enjoyed that Saturday tbf. Late to the party so probably repeating what loads have already said, but thought we looked really positive.
Cook brilliant first half. Keeper looked really good. Kolli looks like he could be a real asset. Some of the youngsters looked comfortable too, particularly nr27 (no idea of name lol). Nr26 in the middle seemed tidy enough as well.
Not bothered about scoreline tbh given it is a friendly. Came away from there Saturday feeling good at how we are shaping up though. Onwards & upwards!

£30 million plus talent v somone we picked up for £10 and a packet of chips. I though he did well given the level of the opposiotn and that it was a pre season friendly.

Apart from the barnet 😂 But that means playing him up top, and Marti don't really go more than 1 up there. Having said that, before he got injured last term, I was hoping he'd be picked in that role ahead of the other geniuses up top. I literally don't see anyone else being able to play the ten slot. Be interesting to see what transpires.

A 10 needs to look up and have a picture - for all his talent that’s the one thing Chair doesn’t do.

Predominantly left would be ok. I see Ilias as an 8, although massively in favour of freedom to check in and out, swap as the situation demands. I think all forwards, AMFs need to be mobile, moving defenders all over the shop. (One of the biggest failings of England under Gareth was that they were too static up top.) Re Andersen. You'd think maybe, but he's played wide a lot of his career and these days your 10 needs to spot it and play it real fast. Put it this way, he wouldn't play 10 if there was a real 10 in the house. IMO

Is he good enough? He’s ok but I’m not convinced.
