Couple of days late but here's my take:
Nardi 6/10 - solid imo, I like him with the ball at his feet. Couldn't do much about either goal, let down by the defence and centre midfield.
Dunne 6/10 - little bit all over the shop first half but back to the solid defender we all love in the second.
Cook 6/10 - not as solid as usual in the first half, better in the second. Proper leader.
Clarke-Salter 6/10 - at fault for the second goal imo after leaving Moore completely unmarked at the back post, had Moore in his pocket in the second half though.
Paal 6/10 - hasn't started well at all but in the second half I thought he looked back to being the left back we signed a few years back.
Much better from him.
Field 6/10 - not great in the first half, much better in the second. Can only imagine that's down to who he was paired with in each half.
Varane 4/10 - really tough afternoon for him, we saw glimpses of his talent against WBA but he was awful on Saturday. Needs time to adapt to the English game, patience is needed with him imo. Reminds me of Ale Faurlin when he first came to us.
Andersen 4/10 - passenger in the time he was on the pitch. I like him but he was completely anonymous before getting injured. Needs to improve his corners too.
Dembele 8/10 - my MOM. So quick on the ball and dangerous with his passing, crossing and set pieces. Assisted Dunne's goal from the corner and ran Sheffield Utd ragged all afternoon. Exciting signing.
Lloyd 5/10 - proper rabbit-in-the-headlights performance. There's definitely a player in there but needs more time out on loan, maybe in League 1, to grow and develop. Also believe he was being played out of position on the wing.
Frey 7/10 - put a proper shift in imo. Made a right nuisance of himself especially in the second half. Needs to get some goals chalked up and we'll have the Frey we thought we signed.
Colback 6/10 - no coincidence that we improved massively in the second half with him alongside Field. Let himself down with the 2 yellows though.
Saito 8/10 - another exciting signing. Did what Dembele did all game on the other flank in the second half, got himself an assist, and generally caused Sheffield Utd problems all half.
Celar 6/10 - unlucky not to score his first goal. Looked composed and better than his WBA performance. Another one who needs time to adapt to the English game.
Smyth 7/10 - another one who made a nuisance of himself, thought he was really good. More of the same from him please.
Dykes 7/10 - great finish for his goal, good performance. Hopefully with Saito and Dembele he will get more chances and chalk up more goals.
