Some took issue with my point in the OP about Nourry going too "all in" on the Moneyball/ Brentford model. Would anyone still disagree with this assertion now? I’m not as convinced about him as others. I’m not a hater but I still need convincing. |

Celar and Madsen were brought in to play in a specific system. Marti`s continental system as I would call it. Doesn't this mean that we to give them more time? Celar running in the channels more regularly from Madsen or Varane`s through balls are what Marti would like to see more of I believe. Make no mistake about it, Celar has flattered to deceive in doing even the basics so far, but he was slightly better in his first games. Just a thought, but I not sure I worded it correctly lol.

I still think too much blame is placed on the new players for our poor form. Clearly it’s played a part that they haven’t hit the ground running…..to say the least…but larger blame has to be placed with Marti and the players from last season. Marti sticking with some players that don’t seem to be working in certain positions ie Madsen in 1 of 2 midfielders. And how many of the players from last season are playing well? |

Yes two different issues, recruitment and how marti/ the team have performed relative to what we have. Celar and Madsen only two players but budget wise huge for us. And both looking iffy at best. Will give him a pass on all the other signings bar Ashby. Re Marti - have been disappointed how slow he has been to adapt. But at least last game he did seem to learn the lesson and chose roughly the best team he had available. |

Even if some of the younger players break thru, the key fact remains that 80/90% of our summer transfer budget went on Celar and the friendly ghost.
Celar was entirely anonymous again and hooked for a player from the youth team.
A youth player and Andersen both preferred to the friendly ghost
