Why are we struggling so badly to get a decent natural RB in to cover this position?
Ashby looked piss poor today.

3 out of Chair/Field/Colback/Varane/Dembele between them.
Lloyd and Frey up front.
I acknowledge that nothing may be effective, given what we've seen so far and the options on the squad.

Problem position for us this season. Dunne is probably our best option and he ain't a right back as long as I have a hole in my arse......which speaks volumes.

We can all over-react after a defeat but still next day am just baffled by Ashby's performance. In particularly the incident when he got the wrong side of the winger, who was in on goal as Ashby tried to tackle him from the outside, then Ashby fell over and rolled around on the ground like he had been shot looking for a free kick that was never coming - and Derby very nearly scored. Honestly Derby were bang average and defensively suspect (as we saw the last 10 minutes or so) but they could have won by five or six. So as they saying goes, "how shit must you be?" |

Smyth at wing back has been tried before and was not great. Go to Dunne but if we can’t for injuries or suspensions then I’d go with Santos and then have Smyth in front to provide protection.
