Thought Saito came on and gave it a go yesterday. Celar also looked like he put bit more of a shift in was defo more physical Been telling your there is a player in there with Saito! How the fuck Smyth was brought on before him is truly baffling never realised Smyth came on before. He came on and kept padding the ball out for goal Kicks. Saito got on ball turned and went forward which was progress. Also last five mins he was breaking and their player literally mounted him to drag him down. Perfect example of why there could be place for sin bins as he pulled him down knowing would get a yellow but was worth it to kill break. If he knew was going spend 10mins off pitch he don’t do it.

Result aside what did we think of three at back? If was not for the errors it was pretty solid and would have been a clean sheet. Thoughts? I think it will work. Having JCS back in will help that massively. Fox couldn't pass to anyone. Either smashed it way too hard or just got no where near where it should be. JCS will bring that balance back in and really help. Dunne looked nervous at RCB but not sure if we have anyone else who is better. Thought he looked like a player out of his depth at times. Which is what most said last year until he went to RB. Morgan (i think?) looked good when he came on. No idea who he is, but fair play for Marti to bring him on. left Varanne on the bench as well so a bold call. Celar looked okay when he came on, Frey was very good today. So good at holding the ball up, something we really need. Chair ... bloody hell. We'll say he is rusty. Saito looked good coming on. I have been critical of him, another Smyth, but looked good when coming on. Maybe better as a sub? But he was positive and I will take positive play. Thought the Portsmouth fans were pretty loud as well. They were louder than Millwall (albeit that was a 12.30 KO in their defence).
