Injuries, injury-prone players, poor scouting, Cifuentes, Nourry or the owners? Or FFP?

Hard to call without being a fly on the wall in the boardroom. Whoever put together this squad is at fault.
We've signed too many soft players that don't have the right mental traits or level of toughness to dig out wins in this league. We need another 3 or 4 starters with a Steve Cook mindset. Gotta be said, we've also signed a couple that will likely never cut it in English football.
The question is what's the dynamic in the boardroom when it comes to transfer dealings. Is Nourry pulling the strings and Marti is just doing as he's told? If so I feel a bit sorry for him. This season has been a reputation killer for him.

I don’t think Marti gets angry, we could loose 8-0 and he wouldn’t rip into anyone

It isn't as simple as saying there's 1 thing to blame. Bit of a perfect storm. Yes injuries don't help, but can't blame it all on them. One of he biggest factors IMO is the recruitment has been fucking shit. 10 signings or however many we made without a jot of Championship experience is insane. And we are reaping the 'rewards' of that now with our pathetic performances.

A mix of many thing imo. Poor scouting first and furthermost. Marti should also shoulder some of the blame I guess. Many odd selections playing in various positions.

Belk Nourry Marti
Terrible signings totally out of their depth for Championship football.

It’s a mixture but signings of Madsen, Santos and Ashby and Celar look terrible decisions. Madsen will prove very costly. None of them look like ever being good enough for this level.
But Marti sets the team up and coaches them. We look clueless and boring, that’s 100% on him.
Injuries….Colback, JCS….shows how lucky we were last season.

It's like history repeating. We have a Continental version of Mark Warburton in the dressing room and our transfer business looks straight out of the Tony Fernandes playbook.
Couldn't make it up. Only at QPR!

With one or two exceptions recruitment has been shite I agree. Probably all done by 'statistical analysis' with no real thought whether they were Championship standard. It was probably in the end just 'fingers crossed' they are.

We do but in the same breath, it's basically our B team playing. Our 2nd choice RB, is playing LB. Our first choice RB is a CB. Our most consistent midfielder was CB. Chair isn't fit and now injured. No Dembele, no Frey, no Paal, no Colback, no JCS. They all start if fit. Even City are struggling when missing key players.

JCS, Fox, Morrison, Paal, Colback, Dembele, Chair, Frey
All teams would struggle with that amount of key players injured.
It’s a proper injury crisis, which isn’t an excuse, just a fact.

My feelings exactly. And that we just don't have strength in depth. I still have faith in Marti's ability as a coach.

Chair seemed to get seriously injured again yesterday. Looked like a knock under the knee. I reckon he’ll be ok. Could run afterwards so unlikely to be tissue damage.

All clubs get some injuries but 6 of those are starters. Most of them would start and those that wouldn't (Morrison and Fox) should be the back ups for the others.

Impact injury rather than anything serious. Wouldn't be much of a loss anyway, he's been gash since he came back. Should have sold him before the press got hold of the story about him putting a brick over someone's head.

Not sure blaming this or that individual takes you very far.
There is something much deeper with our club, god knows what, but we have tried every type of manager, every type of player, different CEOs, different recruitment strategies from bent agents to dodgy data.
Bottom line is three clubs have to go down. Its not like we are so big it would be any kind of shock. Imagine our budget is on the lower end (though surely bigger than the likes of Oxford). I hope and pray we don't go down and still time but as someone else commented we have been circling the plug hole a long time, maybe we have run out of lives.

Lots of things far from perfect. Our press last night and in other games lacked coherence. Also bad decision making when it came to the final third. Players out injured obviously. None of these on their own leave you in the bottom 2. What’s done the most damage is what we’ve been saying for ages. No reliable effing striker. If we’d had even a bang average forward since the start of the season we’d have won at least one hone game, probably more. The chances we had against Plymouth that weren’t converted was criminal. We could have been two up against Hull, before they grew into the game and ultimately punished us. The lack of goals in this team is absolutely shocking. Even the announcer at HQ last night tried to help by saying Cook scored our goal, when it turns out it was scored by Boro ffs.
