Dembele when he’s came looked class at set pieces but like everyone who comes we’ve managed to train it out of him as his were poor too before injury. |

Honestly don’t recall a season of so many goals conceded because defenders seem incapable of putting foot through ball and clearing the area cook at fault this time, although defending from Dunne and Ashby to allow ball in is suspect.
I would argue probably +30% of goals conceded this season are self inflicted.

Half arsed kick straight to an oppo player 4 yards away. a bit panicked, but lets be honest he was pretty much clearing it off the line, no time to trap it, absolute chaos in front of him... thing is, the defending has been put under massive pressure by weak MF + injuries. But, they are definitely playing out better than they were, they just need to mix it up a bit more, go quicker, go longer. Playing Kiki as LWB is a problem. He's a winger, end of. I prefer a 4, apart from anything else that gives you more play out and quick ball options. Keep saying it, MF and up top are where all our problems lie. |
