Two v v similar in level GK's for me Westy.
Either or if choosing one of these lads which isn't a great scenario for the manager.

Personally think that may do us a favour. Need consistency in that position and hopefully Lummers will get some confidence back in the weeks he is now unchallenged.

You aren't seeing Dillon Barnes as a threat? I bet the Under 18's keeper might be having sleepless nights with him around Will be interesting to see if Dieng gets a recall before the season is out. For me, Kelly is a very minor step up over Ingram, who has actually kept a clean sheet at Hull this season (!)

Kelly clearly superior keeper to Lumley in every aspect. Have to agree with this, at least on current form. Interesting too was Jimmy's revelation before kick off about the white lie involving Lumley's neck. Then post-game interview Kelly contradicts what Warbs said pre-game. Kelly saying he got the news on Thursday, with Warbs saying Joe "cricked his neck" on Friday lol!

Very good today and let him have a run now and try to cement that number 1 spot. Much more suited to how MW wants us to play.

I think Kelly did well yesterday. Definitely a far better shout that Lumley on current form. As I've said a few times, I'd be going all out to get a keeper in on loan this window. This will allow us to send Lumley out on loan to rebuild his confidence.

I'd be going all out to get a keeper in on loan this window. Wondering if extending Dieng's loan was the best move.

Is there any merit it Dieng warming the bench here when he's getting games and building confidence elsewhere? At the same time, we do need probably another option at goalkeeper......as daft as that sounds when we have 4 keepers in or around the first team.

If we can get Lumley a decent loan then I would be tempted go with what we have.
If Barnes was total numpty I’m sure we would not have brought him in There must be something about him. Put him in Friday night??

Put him in Friday night?? I'm going 100% on what I saw Colchester fans post about Barnes. But some of it was frightening. And it also didn't seem to be the minority either. It seemed a pretty widespread consensus that he wasn't good enough for the first team there. That said, Warburton was pretty clear when he signed Barnes that he was one for the future. Perhaps his development has been fast tracked since joining us?!!

Comments on Don Ball were not glowing. If we sold manning and his new side saw my comments they would be frightening too 😂😂
I just prefer to judge on what I actually see not on others views. He might he shite but I’ve got see it myself before writing him off. How old is he actually early 20s

good for him. he wants to leave in the summer too which is probably for the best as i don't think he'll cut it here. even if seny goes i'd prefer us to sign someone else.
eitherway we'll probs get 500k-1m for him which is a great return for someone that cost us 50k

nice profit i imagine. gotta be around the 500k-1m mark with a sell on fee. never worked out for him here and he always looked out of his depth but even so he came across as a nice guy and i remember his penalty save against leeds a few years back.

Can’t see us getting anywhere near 1m for him cobs. I think 500k at best more likely 250k
