Liam Kelly from Livingston. Warburton wants someone who is good bringing the ball out and apparently he is. Lumley and Ingram definitely are not.

his release clause is only 50k too apparently! i'm a big fan of lumley but i suspect a few clubs will be after him in the summer. i've heard good things about liam kelly from my fiance's brother who's a rangers season ticket holder too.
sounds like he'd be a very cheap signing regardless of whether we sell lumley and we're gunna need a new keeper anyway as one or two of our current keepers will be off this summer regardless

These are type of signings i like
Low risk, with nice surprise element of the unknown. Type of signing I was brought up on by Rangers

Sensible move to get a decent, experienced keeper in.

Good to see that we are looking to bring in our targets early this season. A keeper who is good with the ball at his feet is something that we need.

never heard of him.
It is a position that needs dealing with. Hopefully we can find a mug to take ingram off our hands.

highlight vid of him doesn't look promising, its like he doesn't have any fingers and can only slap the ball away and bare in mind he's up against mostly league 2/conference level players

Christ, he looks about 3 feet tall. Nearly every shot in that video was near the center of goal. He won't have a prayer when facing championship level strikers. Think it would be best to leave fish fingers where he is and stick with what we have.

Agree though, looks a bit dodgy in that highlight reel. If they are the highlights, I'd hate to see the gaffes! Personally I think we should be looking to bring in a more experienced keeper. Someone with a few years under their belt that Lumley can learn off, and compete with for the first team spot. I also think we should be trying to shift Ingram on. I wouldn't want to see Lumley go, unless a very big offer comes in. I think he will go on to be a very good keeper.

Livingston goalie Kelly has requested to leave the club tonight. I believe that we are linked quite heavily.
Could he be our first signing?

It's no surprise we are shopping at poundland is it? Or did I miss something?

Due to a public slagging off of the manager two years ago which resulted in his becoming persona non gratis. He was club captain at the time. Had his injury problems too mate. I could be proven wrong, but I don't think either of these 2 players look like great signings. Unfortunately I can't see us being able to do anything but shop at poundland

From Rangers to Rangers. Is this the first time that's happened? I'm not counting Goss. Mark Hateley springs to mind Hud? Ah yes of course Pete.

I'd take these two signings over players like Traore and Cesar every day of the week.
You never know, Warburton may be able to spot players that can play.

Liam Kelly could quickly become a fan's favourite like his namesake Mike did in the seventies - anyone remember him? At least he ain't a shortarse like Lee Camp.

Regarding Kelly, I've had a couple of mates rave about him to me today, both of whom watch the SPL regularly. Apparently one of the reasons Livingston stayed up was good performances from him. Still a little dubious, SPL being pub league standard. Also, we triggered his release clause, which apparently stood at £50k. If he performs well, we could end up making a big profit on him. Good business imo.

The other interesting bit in the first article is that player David Turnbull had turned down a record breaking contract at Celtic of £10k a week. This is ten times what he is earning at Motherwell. We were paying larger basic wages than the top team in Scotland.

I think they’re 2 positions we desperately needed to get some players in. Good signings. Although I have to say, I also have a lot of faith in our new manager getting this right. Think we may have a diamond in Warburton
