Anyone else suspect these 2 may not be here next season?
Just looking at the players we've brought in, I wonder whether either of these 2 are likely to make the starting 11. I also suspect that if they were renewed on the same terms as last year, they would be the highest earners at the club (Assuming Luongo is indeed on his way).

Hall will for sure, he can play centre mid if needed and Warbs seems to favour utility players. Has Rangel even signed? He'd be useful to have around even if it's to mentor the young defenders. And he can still do a job if required.

None of the new signings are specialist RBs, so the only reason to lose Rangel would be for financial ones. He's still the best RB at the club when fit IMO.

Not up to us on Hall. He had a 1yr option on his contract which he exercised. Couldn't sell him with his injury record.

If Hall is injury free then it’s like having a new signing. Seen that he was doing a lot of extra training throughout the summer and if he comes back focused and hungry he’s a very good cb at this level!!

That's all well and good but we can hardly plan for the long term with him as chances are his wage means we can't keep him beyond this season even if he does well.

Swallow the wages until we get the bids in.

Something similar to what Ledley King and Paul McGrath played through in the 2nd half of their careers. I think it will limit the rest of his career, and probably prevent him ever really getting a genuine green light from a medical. This means he's never going to be a big money transfer, or a player clubs will be keen to give a long contract to.

When I spoke to him last season he said it was now(then) completely cured and he was back in full training. It isn't the same injury as Lescott's gangster's knee
