I know many pundits and bookies have us tipped for relegation or certainly to struggle but I think we are a match for all the below teams and imo have a better team or will do when we add some striking options -
Blackburn Birmingham Barnsley Reading Wigan Charlton Luton Hull Millwall
Luton, Charlton and Birmingham have all lost significant players and the rest have pretty poor championship teams.
Wigan lost Powell, Barnsley their best CB and Reading don’t seem to be getting their shit together.
We’ve lost key players to but if you look at the strength of the other teams I think we will have enough to certainly stay up.
I actually think defensively we will be strong - leinster, Hall and the french lad are all decent at this level. If we add experience like Cameron to the team that’s a massive plus and we have extremely strong array of talented youngsters who might lack consistency but on their day can produce magic ie BOS, Smyth, Chair,Eze ect not to mention that both Smith and Amos are extremely highly rated youngsters.
I’m confident that Warburton will keep us up fairly comfortable and when looking at the above list initially as teams we need to compete against and finish above from a relegation perspective I think we will certainly be stronger!!

I think we will surprise a few and don’t have us anywhere near relegation. That’s obviously based on getting some fire power in but as you say I think we will be better defensively. Significantly.

As long was we finish above Brentford, and stay well clear of relegation I'll be reasonably happy!

But like i just said to 73, i believe we will be safe for another season if we can bring two goal scorers into the club.

Significantly. spot on. we need two goal scorers. my player to watch for the new season is Grant Hall. If he stays injury free, i think he will be a key players for us.

As things stand at the moment, I feel we are a lower midtable team. We still need some CF`s and a established CM like Freeman. Luton, Millwall, Wigan, and Reading are the only teams, I hand on heart rate lower than us on paper at this stage.

I think you could argue Blackburn and Hull are stronger than us - there not much difference. I think both could lose their star players before the season starts ie Dack and Bowen. However, Birmingham are in a complete mess, jota and Adams both leaving has left a massive hole in their team. I believe they have some financial constraints to and won’t be able to reinvest much of the money they generated from thise sales!
