Saw this on twitter and thought people might find it interesting. This guy is really good follow on twitter as breaks down financial position of clubs. Appears we were averaging 14k two seasons ago so will surely be much lower now
Worth a discussion as reflects work board had done and sets expectations when you see all those teams ahead of us

Very interesting, proof of anyone needs it that you don’t have to wildly overspend to get out of this division. Sheffield united squad assembled for 6 million quid. Or half a Chris samba

Or half a Chris samba Definitely interesting, but also needs to be taken with a pinch of salt. Unless this guy reads minds or is mates with every chairman in the league, he's made a few assumptions. Probably took his data off Transfermarkt.com or Football Manager, neither of which are 100% accurate. I'd hazard a guess our average wage for the coming season will be well under half the figure quoted here for 2017/18 season!

It could be that we now have taken Brentford`s place on that list. If true, that`s a good omen.

Which according to Warburton leaves us in a (slightly) better position when we now are chasing i.e. CF`s. Correct me if I`m wrong though...

If Luongo goes I believe we will actually have a bit of money to pay a fee for a striker or 2 Shania!

Gets his info from accounts being submitted so guessing it’s all pretty accurate

Gets his info from accounts being submitted so guessing it’s all pretty accurate As you say every club must provide a written set of accounts.

A punt from me would be around 7-8k a week 8k week decent money but I’m guessing we won’t be first choice for many paying that but then again £400k a year nothing to turn nose up at

This is going to effect a lot of clubs. For a change we seem to be ahead of the game. Teams can only cook the books once by selling their ground to the owners but still have the same bills to pay this season.
